 Purple On The Front, Clear See Through On The Back! January 30, 2007
You think at first this is another Purple Gamecube controller, but in reality it has the usual purple colour on the front, and clear see through crystal on the back. This allows the user to have a look from the back and experiment to what the insides are like for a Nintendo Gamecube controller, which is actually quite good.
For instance, if you press the L or R Buttons, you can watch the lever move down and up when pressed and lett go!
This featured bonus though doesn't change anything whatsoever about the controller. The buttons are still the same and there is not much of a difference!
My Grade For The Controller: 7.5/10 - Great, Entertaining, Challenging!
Final Comments: If you are however not interested in this controller, look carefully at the box when you purchase a Purple Gamecube controller because you might mistaken it for this controller!

If you've bought a gamecube you will probably have one of these controllers already and will know of its brilliance. First of all the controller is of unique design and when you fist look at it some may say it looks rather childish with its bright colours and strange shape. However it looks brilliant when compared to the boring dated PS2 controller and the black behemoth controller of the X-box. It is perfectly designed for the gamer. The controller is the right size (unlike the large cumbersome X-Box controller) and when you hold it your thumbs are ideally positioned over the two control sticks and your fingers have easy access to all the other buttons and there are enough buttons to meet the needs of even the most demanding games. The controller has a built in rumble feature that vibrates to just the right level. Another brilliant feature of this controller is the digital click feature of the L and R buttons meaning the harder you press the more intense the action. If considering buying a second controller for your cube although the unofficial other controllers are cheaper most are nowhere near as good as the official cube controller. So if buying a cube controller I recommend you spend a little extra on the official controller unless you wish to spend more and purchase the official wireless controller- the wavebird

Nintendo have designed this controller with the utmost care and attention.It fits into your hand perfectly and after a few minutes of play you forget that it is in your hands giving you more time to think about the game you are playing.More expensive than any other controller, yes but when I tell that my original purple controller has outlived two other makes it makes sense to pay that little extra!!!

This controller...the one in your hand...This controller is just so comfortable, its sometimes easy to forget your holding it. The buttons are placed perfectly, and I mean perfectly, so that they are just where you want them. At first, the B button seems small and too difficult to hit properly, but it soon "grows" and you'll wonder why you thought it was a difficult button in the first place. The only problem is perhaps the START button, which can be difficult to press at time, if you have short thumbs at least.
The shoulder pads are analogue, meaning you can kind of "squeeze" them, but at the bottom they have a very nice, digital "click", allowing for more commands in-game.
The analogue sticks are also placed wonderfully, especially for First-Person-Shooters, and the D-Pad is wonderfully clear and definite, unlike the X-Box pad.
I really dont know how anyone can complain about this joypad, but you should ignore them.
I dont know if I can stress enough just how comfortable this controller really is, its so soft and gentle, but yet firm. The PS2 controller is good, but this is just fantastic. An extension of your arm almost...

I had CTS a few years ago, and I typically like consoles, because they have controllers that don't involve mouses, and their games map easily to a few buttons and perhaps a couple analog sticks. Much less stress on my hands than a computer. This controller makes the worst XBox controllers look like a great ergonomic controller. What is bad about it: 1. You have to twist your wrists too much to press the two triggers.
2. You have to press each trigger at least 1/2 inch... and they take significant force to push.
3. The main button is way huge, you have to press it around 1/4 inch, and it takes significant force to push... in digital mode you seem to need to press it half way before it registers.
4. The start button makes the XBox start button seem well designed and well positioned.
5. The right analog stick is too far down... but I guess it is easy to reach if you position your hands as per complaint 1.
(6. That Z button is just ill placed. At least it is digital and you don't have to push it far.) Buy this controller only if you enjoy repetitive strain injuries.
