Its kind of a dull roll playing game. The characters don't speak English. Kind of funny. Has black eyed peas music.

I've got to say this game is good for many reasons. The way it has given a whole new perspective and edge to The Sims universe is what mainly encouraged me to get this game, and it doesn't disappoint. Your self-created character has specific goals to meet in each district (town) and this adds completely to the usual sleeping...eating...washing routine established in previous games. Whilst achieving these goals, that are updated throughout, you have to continually socialise with other people in the game to be able to build up a sufficient rep in order to gain access to more and more areas, such as the VIP rooms and other districts which are locked at the beginning of the game. Those of you who love the customisation of both your sim and your home are given the opportunity to do this. The usual things such as wallpaper, flooring and everday items can still be bought for your pad. As well as being able to change the look of your sim according to what goals you need to achieve.

Also, there are many ways to interact with people and as you progress you will be able to unlock more ways of interaction including power socials which give your character that extra flare. Everyone you talk to and how you react to them changes the way you are accepted.

There's one thing with this game that has to be mentioned, however, and that is the memory needed to save. It takes up 1 file and 107 blocks of memory, which means that a clean memory cartridge is possibly needed. The amount of trouble that this has given me, in having to swap saved games onto different carts and also delete games, has still not allowed me to save it. All this has caused me to restart everytime I wish to play. So beware that this game is huge and needs the memory to support it!!!

But when it's good, it's good and the graphics are extremely smooth and well polished. This is one game I would recommend for the sheer amount of different things you can do.

ok, the lad who said "the way it copyied the sims is stupid" or something along those lines. i suggest you find out more about games befor you rate them, so you dont make a fool out of yourself like you have done here. like many others have said, its like the sims, because it IS the sims, just sims in the city. i very much enjoyed this game, im not a "sims" fan, but my friend bought this so i thought i'd give it a go. and i was pleasantly surprised. the graphics are smooth and i found it very fun indeed. i made the mistake of going out and buying myself the urbs for my PS2, i dont suggest you do this, as the graphics are sloppy and the game play very slow. stick with the gamecube version and im sure you'll enjoy this game as much as we have.

What was the other lad saying, total nonesense, on PS2 maybe, but on cubecube, and I have played both versions, the cube's is far much better, feels smoother, graphics are better and it is a very good game overall. Its like the sims because it is, it is only set in an urban city. You can go to different ones and interract with other urbz, its brilliant, well worth your money!!!! :)
