Oh now come on!!?? August 22, 2008 Now I really enjoyed this game but it seems others have a different view so ok lets try to clear things up.
Step 1 A) If you did not enjoy this game or feel you may not enjoy this game then do not continue - this is not for you B) If you enjoyed the story of the Tiberium Saga so far and wish to learn more about the game and its story then move to Step 2
Step 2 Ok good. Basiclly this game is a full NOD campaign which is hinted by the games title >_> for those not guessing already! It takes places BEFORE tiberium wars (number 3) then sets itself during 3 and then AFTER 3 (setting itself for number 4) I wont spoil it for you but saying any of the story but its GOOD!! I really enjoyed the Tiberium Saga so far and to be honest its possibly one of the best story telling games so far. Its spanned for over 10 years so far and its still going strong.
If you feel the need to find out what Kanes really up to and fill in the blanks (left there for good reason i assure you) then do get this game. Story wise its pretty good. Gameplay wise its exactly the same as number 3 (which was good) but this adds more units much like the Titan walker for GDI and the Artillery for NOD. Pretty fun gameplay but if your after the next puzzle in the story then go ahead, add it to your basket, wait for the postey and you'll enjoy it.
all brawn no brain!! May 13, 2008 2 out of 12 found this review helpful
the missions are too hard, and only nod missions?! loads to slow because you need tiberium wars & kanes wrath!!!! good graphics though. again, remember tiberium wars? yeah i do. had loads of bugs at first, kanes wrath will have more and no patch? EA strikes yet again, another rushed, disgraceful game from EA. as i said all fun no time. yet again, a disgraceful game for the CNC series. go buy the first decade if you want an offer. OR even buy a gamecube with this sort of money your spending!
the fact that RA3 Sucked, i enjoyed the game, 1 star, 5 fun.
Dismal -Nod only Campaign April 29, 2008 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
After a Year long wait, we only get a NOD Campaign. - I guess I should have read the description very carefully to have worked that out. This expansion pack runs slower than the main game for some reason (:, so I am not having much fun with the dreadfully slow gameplay. I have dropped the graphics settings down, but it now looks dissapointing after playing TW with reasonably good graphics options last year.
The new Units are confusing and pretty tedious. A few new Maps, but after a few days skirmishes I have already consigned this pack to the bin. Such a shame after a reasonably good TW last Year, to follow up with this weak expnasion. At least I only wasted 15.
EA are offering Red Alert 3 Beta Trials, but the scrrenshots appear to the same Engine as this olddated Generals Engine they are really scraping the Barrel with this Francise. Real Time has moved a long way ahead of this series.
EA strikes again April 24, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yet another rushed product by EA. Reminds me of the battlefield series in terms of problems. I have tried this game on two different PC's and one laptop. One PC being the latest in game spec terms. ALL resulted in the same problem a crash to desktop. Direct error problems.
The online game play is just as frustrating. Most games end in de-syncs. And i believe this problem could easily of been fixed. Remember the EA Game LOTR: Battle for middle Earth, ever played that game online? Yes there are De-syncs in that to.
To sum this game up. For potential and me playing every C&C to date it would of got 4/5. The game play is enjoyable but EA seems to care more about profit than customers or quality of its products. If you don't believe the amount of problems this game has, check EA's forums. Therefore im giving it 2/5.
Pretty good, a bit rushed April 9, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Overall I'm a fan of the C&C Tiberium games. This latest expansion is pretty good in that it takes the existing factions, puts on some spin, and adds new ways to play them, as well as adding some new units and sub-factions. The addition of the global conquest style of play is a nice touch, clearly competing against the equivalent style in the latest Dawn of War.
If you're a fan of the series, well, you'll be buying this anyway. If you're looking for a good expansion to an RTS, well, it's not bad. The video cut-scenes are mostly all cast on the same set, and the plot could have been dramatically expanded over what it is, but nonetheless it's the same C&C we know and love, so, criticisms aside, it's worth a look.
For those boycotting SecuROM and their awful copy protection rubbish, sadly, this game does come with it. If you can manage as a paying customer to get it to actually run, you'll probably enjoy the game. I did.
