This game takes the fun out of golf. July 4, 2008 I have been playing golf games since the days of the Amiga and never have I found a game that is more difficult than this. You do get the opportunity to train before you go out and play which is good but it will take many hours of dedicated training before you can feel confident enough to start a career. It's virtually impossible to increase the distance with what they call Snapping your wrists to make the ball go further. It takes a lot of luck to achieve this consistantly. The graphics are pretty good and the commentary is much better than in Tiger Woods. I would like to know though when programming this why they put advertising boards right in front of you when teeing off on some of the holes. This could have been a really good game but it is very difficult to master which does take the fun out of the game. Unless you have an incredible eye and fast reflexes to achieve a put over 280 yards I would steer clear of this particulare golf game.
A little too little May 30, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very good graphics but for the rest it still has a long way to go. If you load it on a laptop you will need to buy a numeric keypad to change clubs; the developers should make you aware of this BEFORE you buy it. I think this has been designed by a gamer and not a golfer for it doesn't have the feel of golf as do some other games, for instance you can't change the direction of your aim; you can only negotiate the course by changing feet and ball position and draw and fade from the downswing. On two of the courses I have tried so far there are errors on the scorecard, one where a hole is given as a par 3 but has a tee to hole distance of 532 yards, and on another the reverse where the hole is carded as a par 5 but is only 320 or so yards long. I'll keep playing but there's a lot better out there. Oh and the putting is just rubbish!

I have been disappointed with the last 2 issues of TW golf but this doesn't even come close to EA Sports
Good but... September 26, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is a good game, excellent graphics, very realistic but the most basic things have been overlooked. You can apparently change the clubs with the -/+ keys but not on a laptop! You can not change the keys to something else that might work. You can not save the games when you want to, you have to finish the course. If you are playing in a tournament you loose all your points and renowns if you try to stop the game until later. This is a rubbish way to make and design a game. I can not always finish or complete 18 holes in one go. What a shame as this could have been a great game
