Excellent June 23, 2008 never write reviews on products I buy over the interweb but this game is GREAT!!!! I played Road to Hill 30 and was gripped by the first few levels, without the intros in the game it wouldnt have the same effect,
The gameplay is great leading yet another bad ass squad through battle runied Normany during WWII, with enemies that are more intellgent it's harder than the 1st game!! Use as mush cover as possilbe when need be and flank when you can.
Intense gameplay and amazing grpahics this is a deffinate must have if you want to know the movements of the rest of Bakers Squad!!! It's a complete follow on it links to WWII extremelly well, just wait till Hells Highway is out, thats going to be even better!!
Operation Market Garden as seen in the film Band Of Brothers a mission that went horribly wrong, but none the less all Brothers In Arms games are a must have
Good May 4, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is great from the point of view of WW2 1st person shooters. Better than COD1+2 and MOH Frontline. Not a great jump from Hill 30. Maybe they should have waited a year to make it as it was only out 6 or 7 months after Hill 30 amazing instead of it just being very good. By the way the main character "Red" Hartsock(Red for obvious reasons)rules. Can't wait for Hell's Highway for PS3
Great on XP - Doesn't work on Vista March 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Had the game for my XP machine before I upgrading to Vista. Game was brilliant. The use of squad tactics puts a different slant on your basic WWII shooter. Problem is, it doesn't work on Vista. You'd probably be able to find a work-around on the web, but you want a game to work straight out of the box. If you've got Vista wait to see how Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway turns out May/June. If you run XP on your machine, get it and enjoy.
gamesmad October 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i don't normally write reviews but having found this game so annoying I thought i would give it a go. The intros to each chapter are so boring and pointless, and whilst the graphics are commendable the battle situations become increasingly repetitive with several enemies hiding behind a barrier firing at your unit. You pin them down with your unit and flank them, EVERY TIME. nothing changes. You shoot an enemy several times in the head but instead of dying he turns around shoots you once, and its all the way back to the start of the chapter. So annoying. COD is infinitely more exciting, engrossing and enjoyable than this. I have only played Brothers in Arms for a couple of days but have now decided to pack it in.
Challenging October 9, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
No health packs. No weapon upgrades. Reasonably intelligent enemies. Authentic locations (based on maps and photographs). Squads to control with a easy to master click and point controls. The game is engrossing and challenging. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more grown-up WWII FPS. "Road to Hill 30" was also excellent.
