A stylish leather product? Yeah right.... July 4, 2008 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having read the reviews about the practicalities of this games case - damning and otherwise, I bought this "stylish" "leather" accessory for my new DS Lite anyway. The packaging describes this item as "leather type" - mmm, I think "Genuine Plether" or "Vinyl Stylee" would be more accurate. What the pictures don't show you is the lovingly crafted BEIGE faux suedette interior or the truly delightful PEARLISED finish to the "leather type" outer. This product is nasty. I've been had. : (
Stylish, protective game cartridge case. June 7, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Whilst, as another reviewer detailed, it is possible to carry the console in this case, the case is designed for holding DS game cartridges and Not for holding the console. This a great case for holding and protecting your DS game cartridges. It holds at least 6 cartridges securely (more if you use the Gameboy cartridge pockets - I store two DS game cartridges in each of these pockets, meaning that I have a choice of at least ten games available), plus spare styli. It's a handy size to pop in your bag and you will always have a great selection of games handy - boredom is definitely a thing of the past!
RUBBISH - A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY March 20, 2008 6 out of 17 found this review helpful
We bought this case to both protect my son's DS Lite, and store his games. Our decision was based on another reviewers comments. How wrong can one be? The strap does NOT have a strong magnetic fastener - it barely stays closed, and this is without trying to store any games or stylii. The case does NOT protect the DS-LITE - give it a slight shake and your DS-LITE will slip out. About as much use as a chocolate fireplace. DO NOT BUY
I Use it as a case for my DS Lite January 7, 2008 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
I purchased the white case and posted my original comment in October 2007. The following comments are still relevant for this product. The only thing I would add is to ensure the card slot of the DS is facing towards the spine of the case, especially if a card is still inserted into the DS. Otherwise the case strap can release the card from the DS.
Original Comments... I purchased this thinking that it was a case for the Nintendo DS Lite. When I received it I was surprised to read on the packaging that this is "NOT to be used as a case for your games console. It should only to be used to store the game cards and accessories". I was a little bit confused because this case is the same size and width as a unit and it fits in perfectly. I thought that maybe the comments referred to the original Nintendo DS which of course was bigger. I can't see what other accessories would fit into it.
Although the manufacturers have stated that this is not designed to hold the DS Lite, it does so perfectly well, even with three games cards and the spare stylus. The strap has a strong magnetic fastener and although over time the strap will no doubt stretch and would make it possible for the unit to slip out, I still think that if you are careful with it and use it for indoor use only it will certainly save your DS Lite from getting those little knocks and surface scratches.

24th March 2008. Sorry to read the bad review from K Foley. Your comments just do not apply to the case that I have. I use my DS everyday and I still stand by my original comments posted 5 months ago. The magnetic fastener is still strong and still holds my DS securely. Perhaps buying this product for children and using it in a way that I have described above is asking just too much. FOR ADULT USE ONLY...
