i WAS a complete wow addict from day one, 5 days raiding a week, cleared MH/BT had almost full t6 on mah mage (i was guild master too) and then comes along sunwell plateau patch. grrrrr, all this achieves is giving non-commited gamers easier opportunities to get good gear without doing much, so i quit, and it was just in time cos wotlk is being released to yet again accomadate non hardcore gamers, i think blizzard need to remember where their bread and butter lays. They have got where they r today because of the hardcore gamers from starquest and diablo series......they have truly lost sight of what they r doing......on that note i wont be giving wow wotlk more than one star as i h8 what wow has become....w8 till new starcraft comes out soon, that will be a pure masterpiece!

Like most of these games its all about profit for Blizzard..so having recently introduce the latest Season for the PvP gaming players on the 25th of june, blizzard has always promised a 6 month Season. As this six months runs out...just before xmas..i think you will be looking at a more likely release date of around the 10/11 December..Hope you guys can wait till then...

History, played Everquest 2 for 3 yearsc then got a imac and needed something to play other than EQ2 (EQ2 won't work in osx, not even through emulation). Anyway, I bought the first WoW, got to lvl 60 within the "free" 30-day subscription went out the next week and bought the C/B expansion.
I was disapointed with the content in that, this expansion wrath of the lch king or whatever it is called is worse, a lot worse. I actually disagree with alot of you i think they should make the lvl cap higher, at least to 90. At least when SOE bought out expansions for EQ2 they had decent brand new content.

Anyway, I now play EVE Online, players are a damn site more mature than any WoW wannabe script kiddie in nappies will ever be and a lot more fun and will proberly never attract most WoW players due to the fact you gotta think whilst playing the game. WoW might as well be Warcraft 3 expansion or Warcraft 4 because it...infact no because warcraft had a plot, WoW does not have have a plot to follow.

i too am a wow addict and have been playing since shortly after release. I remember the days when the servers were too full and we had to queue to get in. My reply is to the chap who was wondering about the Death Knight class, the first of the hero classes that are to be added in. I beleive this is blizz's attempt to address and rebalance the lack of tanks (levelling a warrior is a tricky affair, and boring). Death Knight class we become available when you reach level 70. there will be 1 available per account and will start at level 55 with a selection of character specific quests designed to teach you how to handle the new class.

obviously by the time you reach 80, you should know how to play that class anyway! i don't think we'll see an influx of DK class since most ppl will want to level their main to 80 and get on with the new content.

I personally like the prospect of the new raid instances in WOTLK, 10 man raids or uber hard version of the same thing 25 mans. The wife is going to lose me to the study for another 6 months on this one i recon!

For years now, we have been treated to Warcraft expansions and since the original Warcraft 1 Blizzard has delivered. My money is on them doing it again... They have the worlds largest online community (10 million) and that is because they have created a veritable monster of a game and added more to it, and kept it rolling on. They still have many areas of untapped warcraft lore to use. Although it always seems to be like waiting around when a new expansion pack comes... it is normally worth it. I have seen nearly everything there is to see in the world (of warcraft), and yet there is one assured thing I can tell you. There will still be 10 million people playing the new expansion.
Those who remember the Dark Portal opening last year will want to have that feeling again. Its not every day you are virtually queued with a thousand people waiting for a virtual doorway to open. So to all those people out there that say they want to quit.... see you in lich king im sure you will be there. To all those people who have quit and are saying they are not coming back..... see you in lich king im sure you will be there.
Will it be worth the crazy hype that it gets when it comes out, we will have to see. But one thing is for sure Blizzard wont be bringing this out till they are ready, and we will wait till it arrives and all ten million of us will want to try it.
