LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Of course, pop culture's most iconic archeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games.

Good game, but buggy July 26, 2008 This is a good game, as much fun as Lego Star Wars. In fact, it's the same game in different clothes. But without the satisfaction of the Jedi Slam. My main issue with it (despite the 4 stars) is that it has a habit of crashing silently at the end of levels. Not crashing altogether, but just failing to provide the actions needed to finish the level, so you can keep playing for hours and never find out what you need to do. Very frustrating, and it always happens at the *end* of a level. e.g. today I was playing a level that involved scaring flocks of seagulls. I think the final flock needs to be scared by firing a bazooka at the cliffs, but as I only got one once, got killed, and no soldiers appeared after that, I won't know until I've replayed the level. This happens on about one in three levels. Conclusion, if you have lots of free time buy this game, if you don't, wait 6 months until they've ironed the bugs out.
excellent fun... July 7, 2008 having played star wars to death i didnt think i would get so much fun from this but the openess and variety of the levels is impressive, driving as always being the hardest for me.
completing the game is easy but the fun is going back to unlock everything, something i was never into.
bring on lego batman

My mum got this game and I had a bit of a play on it. I have to say I will be getting myself a copy very soon. It's addicitve, entertaining and for a DS game has good graphics. The music is nice to listen to as well. A well deserved five stars.
Another Great Lego Title, June 26, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game, like Lego Star Wars is a lot of fun and very addictive!
In this game you play as Dr Indiana Jones, guiding him through the far flung reaches of places such as India and South America. The game looks nice, handles well and requires you to take on the various bad guys in movie themed levels.
Like the Star Wars game you are able to switch between various characters of movies past and present. You also break open boxes build bridges, whip shoot and jump your way along collecting as many lego pieces as possible.
When playing a game on the DS you obviously lose out a little with the smaller screen and the reduction in graphics capability but there is no doubt that in many cases you gain from playing with this unique platform.
In this game all of the DSs special features are utilized. Not only are the graphics lovely and colourful but you will also be required to blow into the mic, for example to extinguish candles and use the touch screen to choose which weapon to use.
With most levels being impossible to fully complete on the first go the replay value is quite good, although, in terms of difficulty the game is not that demanding. However, with the DS, you can bring this game anywhere and play at almost anytime. I found this game a lot of fun and I think you will too.
