LOADS OF LAUGHS FOR THE FAMILY October 8, 2008 I wld just like to say I think this game is great FUN yes FUN. I didnt espect to loose loads of weight or feel like I was at the gym but I def feel aches in muscles, we all have a good laugh while we are doing it, as a FAMILY. I think the name is in the game. teenage neice and all her friends love it (17). Not a game for HUGE game fans who spend hours in front of a console, (like my brother, but even he managed a giggle at this), but still good for all my family to enjoy 4-37.

A fun-family game, but not convincing. I expected more cardio-vascular workout, but am disappointed with regards to that. I am also concerned that all the jumping can be cause injuries to knees and lower legs.
I would not recommend it - stick with the Wii-Fit if you want some excercise!
Fun for kids and exercise too.... October 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We got this a few days ago and have played it a few times now..so far so good. My son was a little reluctant at first but once he got used to the controls he loved it.There are still some games he finds harder than others but older children (he is 6) will probably be ok.
I would recommend getting this instead of Wii Fit if you only want something to get your kids active. The games are fun and more high impact than the majority of the wii fit program, and of course the 2 player element adds to the fun of it. Mine Kart is a great game because you can even have 3 playing at one time...2 controlling the movements of the cart via the mat, and another pumping up the speed using the wii remote!
Most of the games involve running or jumping in some variation, but some are a bit more intuitive than that. The aforementioned Mine Kart it probably the best, along with Whack-a-mole, Board Rider and Skate wotsit. The game only really loses a star in my opinion as I am not sure how long the novelty will last once it has been around a few months, I suppose this really all depends on your childs (or your own) attention span!
Few gripes about the mat, which can be a bit slippy on carpet, it seems to be designed more for hard floors. We have a rug on laminate floor and we have to move it out of the way to play without any grief . so I would recommend getting some rug gripper or similar for this if you only have carpet on your floor. Also it is a bit small for 2 adults or older children to stand on together, I have already had a few nasty whacks on the arm during play!
Overall though, fun game, great physical exercise for your kiddies (think long winter evenings...). almost half the price of the elusive Wii fit and (at time of posting) a darn sight easier to get hold of!!
Fantastic October 2, 2008 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
Received this game today, kids love it, great fun, keeps you an the kids VERY FIT, my kids are 5 & 7, they picked the actions up very quickly, put me to same, but hey, when they are in bed .........., we LOVED EVERY every minute we played the FAMILY TRAINING. If you wan to get fit, and not leave the house and spend lots on a gym, then this is the one for you, it will get you fit while having FUN.
very disappointing, not a patch on wii fit September 29, 2008 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
The games are very repetitive, very basic, and very short. Some people might be tempted to buy this because they can't get hold of wii fit - my advice is - DON'T. They have blatantly tried to cash in on the popularity of wii fit by putting the word "trainer" in the title but it is not in the same league.
Another reviewer complained that it mainly consisted of a lot of jumping. This is true and the only good thing about it for me. But it is only good for me because I am having to teach my body how to jump following an accident. In any other circumstances, I would probably give it even fewer stars!
just edited to add that in use, the mat slides about all over the place (on a thick-piled carpet) and has to be repositioned mid-game.
