Lemmings Reincarnation 7.5! October 27, 2007
This is a hard game to rate because of one thing. If you have ever bought a previous lemmings game - you have almost all the levels. Each time the lemmings game comes out, they bring out all the originals levels again and therefore while we have better graphics (you can see them without the little creatures being blurry) you have the original games 120 levels. I've bought lemmings on Sega Master System, PS1 and now PS2 and I'm getting a bit annoyed with it.
However good news for those is that for once there's new puzzles and they are good! The ones involving the eye toy are genius and the fact you can now create your own levels really lifts this game up for me. I dont have online playability but I can imagine the fun swapping levels and going for the quickest time.
If your new to the series, this is the best place to start by far, if you're not new to Lemmings beware its the same as before but dressed beautifully with a level generator.

i bought this game yesterday around 5pm... got home around 6pm and slung it straight on.. i have been dieing 2play lemmings on console 4ages and no word of a lie i played it non stop till 8am the next morning... its gotta b one of the most addictive games ever made... its got so many options and addictive levels that will have u comein back 4more ova n ova again ( that is if u can put the controller down4more then a hour in the 1st place) if u like brain teasers and mind benders then this is the game 4u....its so easy 2get hold of even my girl friend was playing PROPERLY wivin 5minutes. The graphics arnt that stunning but then again ur not playin this game 4the looks... its the share playability that wins every1 ova hands down... the music's not especially that good but its not that bad either... but u might find puttin on a favourite cd or radio station might b ur better option here. Theres so many good things u could say about lemmings but theres just not enough time or space 2write.... if ur fed up with the usual football, sports, shoot em up etc games then get ur wallet out an purchase this gem..... a must have game!!!

I played on this around my brothers house. I managed to work it out really easily, could not believe how addicted i was to it in just half an hour of playing it. It is a puzzle/arcade like game, where you just basically have to guide the lemmings through to their house in the level. The levels are not much at all, but you would find yourself very addicted, though it might get a little boring for a lot of people, after a few times of playing it.
And if you are looking for adventure, don't buy this.

Its good to see how far lemmings have come since the days of the megadrive and other retro consoles. i bought lemmings on a wim really, i just thought why not most lemmings games are good, and i wasn't dissapointed.
Graphics are really nice and crisp the background detail is great on the Egyptian levels you actually feel like you can put your hand in the screen and grab a pillar very impressive.
controls are very easy to use instead of panicing to highlight the tool you want to use with the direction stick simply press L1/R1, and you can they scroll through what you want to use.
my only complaint is that alot of the music that made lemmings such a weird and enjoyable game has gone, don't get me wrong there's still some in there but the new music can get tedious and you seem to find yourself slowly turning the volume down on your tv, if it wasn't for the music the game would of got 5 stars for sure!
Another great feature of lemmings is you can upload/download levels on the net through your ps2 depending on if you have a network adaptor etc.. and if you have a eye toy you can actually copy yourself onto the game create you own level, and paste yourself into the game meaning the lemmings can actually walk across you, although i haven't tested this feature as i don't have a eye toy.
Overall lemmings is still as addictive as ever and with over 150 levels you will be occupied for a long time, and its a great family game. If you a lemmings fan or a stratergy fanatic your'll love this game. Go buy!
