Amazon has done me a favour. November 22, 2008 I always check the reviews on Amazon before considering buying a game. In this case it's done me a favour. I liked the first Crysis game and I'd probably like this one. But there's plenty of other games to keep me going and I won't buy this unless I have an unlikely change of heart :such as a re-release without DRM.
Forget the drm the game is great November 16, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The drm never bother if you just play the game and it wont trigger for adding an hard drive so stop chattting poo.well gameplay id so much fun and action pack its more fun than crysis but it shorter.buy it now if i where you its a game all pcgamer should have in there collection.x
What a Let-down. :-( November 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sorry, but this is another "I'm not going to buy this due to the OTT DRM measures that have ben taken by EA Games" comment.
I can understand that games must cost a fortune to develope and that piracy will naturally have an impact on a product's profit return. However, these heavy-handed DRM measures that are being adopted by EA Games are costing sales. Quite simply I have no inclination to purchase or obtain a pirated game. Likewise I'm also not so desperate to play Crysis Warhead that I am prepared to install, what is to me, little more than a legalised virus under the guise of DRM.
Sorry EA, but you need to rethink your strategy. Quite simply you are at present alienating law-abiding people who simply want to play video games.
If my hard drive fails, if I need to re-install Windows, if I upgrade my PC or if I buy a new PC I DO NOT want to worry that I'll no longer be able to re-install a game that I have already paid for. :-(
I won't buy games with restrictive DRM November 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought Crysis and enjoyed it very much, but I have a policy to never buy games which contain draconian DRM or which install illegal rootkit software on my machine. So Crysis Warhead went from a "Must buy" to a "Cannot buy"
There is money here for the taking EA: all you have to do is drop the draconian DRM. Are you going to do it?
DRM; I didn't know EA was my Big Brother! November 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I raise my glass to that mr A.Green! Wanted to buy the game to relax and get away from life's problems, not tear my hair out and create even more over DRM. Sort it out E.A.; you've grown that big from the days of James Pond on the MegaDrive that you now think you can play God!!!
