 Does not fit very well, uncomfortable September 6, 2010

The device functions very well, however it is uncomfortable to wear or hook over the ear. That is my view and my childrens view.

I have now had this mic for about a week, I also own a Giotek EX01 mic which my bro uses and I find the Sony one beats it in almost every respect, it may look not very comfortable but once you get it adjusted you forget that it is there!
Sound Quality: 5/5
Build Quality: 5/5 (sturdy and solid!)
Comfort: 4/5
And you also get on screen feedback, something that no other ps3 mic has, this is very useful.
The charger is also very handy, when it is on charge the ps3 can act as a mic from its charger, picking up the whole room.
Overall a VERY good mic, and probably the best on ps3!

This is a must have for all ps3 owners into multiplayer gaming! there is no other headset as good as this. I have tried other cheap ones. The qualities is beyond comparison

I was very confident in this headset as it is the Official PS3 Headset.
The headset itself was very good from the start. Extremely easy to set up and sync with the PS3.
When all the settings in the accessory settings section have been set up properly the headset delivers crisp, clear voice across chat. I play alot of clan matches and so we are always communicating with each other, both in games and in the lobby. This headset compared to others which i have tried is the best of all of them.
It connects via blue tooth obviously :), And can be charged when connected to the PS3, i do have this plugged into my Controller charging dock and it also charges the headset fine.
After a while it can become uncomfortable in the ear, most blue tooth headsets will do, but as this can be easily put in the other ear that is not really a problem which affected me.
The battery when fully charged lasts ages. And if synced correctly to the PS3 it has a few bits of information which will pop up when one of the buttons is pressed such as: battery level, when it is muted and when the volume is turned up or down. And it also tells you whether the voice will be HQ (High Quality) or not.

don't be fooled into thinking this is just for the PS3,
althought its designed for the PS3 it works well on my phone and PC as a speach recognition microphone with real clarity as i was sick of using a set of headphones with mic and wires etc.
mine came almost fully charged so it was good to go out of the box.
looks good for a bluetooth headset, which is hard to find nowadays as most of them are supposed to be fasionable but look like dog toys.
the dock works well but the cable from playstation is very short.
not a bad thing about the headset but obviously as you may of noticed the ps3's USB's dont work while its off so no PS3 on no charging, luckily i have a controller dock plugged in mains with 2 usb ports.
the loud speaker works well, think bluetooth car radio its simular in terms of quality to that which is a bonus really.
overall great headset especially if you play online or Tom clancys endwar or just want a decent headset for you phone.
oh and by the way pairing is seemless both with PS3 and phone/pc etc, it even flashs red and green to let you know its in pairing mode.
