Product Description
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock boss battles give fans a chance to compete against legendary guitarists such as Slash and Tom Morello. Players are required to deplete the boss' Rock Meter before the boss goes into their Death Drain solo, which always means 'lights-out.' After defeating a boss, players unlock that guitarist as a playable character and continue to the encore for the set list, which is a master recording of one of their respective bands' most well-known tracks. for instance, When Morello is defeated, the next performance is "Bulls on Parade," during which Morello performs on stage alongside the player.Guitar Hero 3 Features:Slash?s Original Boss Battle Recording Welcome to The Jungle (by Guns N? 5 out of 5 stars Hit me with your best shot!!!!   November 29, 2008
This is a fantastic game!!

The songs are pretty much good rock songs! Personally I like this kind of music, but friends of mine who are not fans still love this game, and many a night has been spent rocking out to Hit me with your best shot by Pat Benatar or Barracuda by Heart. One of my favourite songs is Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson, this amazing song gets stuck in your head as you jam!

You only have to do a quick search on youtube to find thousands of videos showing you songs and gameplay, and the ultimate challenge to get 100% on Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce!

Who would have thought that a plastic guitar with 5 coloured buttons could be so much fun??

5 out of 5 stars Guitar frustration   August 11, 2008

This game is really addictive , not easy, but you feel you have to just try again & again & again then when you get a song right you just have to try the next song and so it goes on. Hence the frustration. The songs are good even though I didn't know many off them before I got the game, they grow on you quite quickly. Overall it will keep you busy for quite some time. So well worth the money.

4 out of 5 stars Awesome and addictive   August 4, 2008
The game is a lot of fun and awesomely addiciting, tracks are great, graphics are prety good considering its the wii. Online play is killer-very competetive, especially in face off mode and since i hooked it up to the internet ive hardly played any of the career or the game offline.

buy it now, you wont regret!

2 out of 5 stars Very annoying   July 30, 2008

Okay, let me just say I love Guitar Hero III. I love a lot of things about it. I love the series as a whole. But the Wii version seems to be inferior to the others.

You'd think with the Wii's 'revolutionary' motion sensing controller inerted into the guitar, everything you do would happen quicker and as expected? Well no. It doesn't. Sometimes the controller doesn't even register that I'm holding down a note. Now I've tried standing at all distances and angles from the Wii itself, and it makes no difference. I've tried calibrating the lag, but it makes no difference. I find myself getting a low score on a song I can 100% on the Xbox 360 version. Another thing is the Star Power. It just randomly activates itself. I'll be waiting to activate it at a very precise time and then I play normally and it activates itself! Sometimes when I want to activate it, it doesn't do anything at all unless I lift it high above my head and shake it a little bit, by which time I'd have failed the song anyway.

The developers seem to have underestimated the graphical potential of the Wii, as I remember Guitar Hero II on the PS2 looking better than this. Graphics don't really matter, but come on...

Aside from all that, I have little to say that hasn't already been said. Great track list, great battle, and great multiplayer. It's a shame about the controller issues though.
