| Features:
| • | Dynamic Weather System: Now racing through a track can mean facing an unexpected rain storm or snow flurries in the middle of a race. This results in changing physics when powering around a corner on the wet or icy surface in Shanghai and St. Petersburg or any of the game's 10 other locations. | | • | Flair & Driving Style: Pass your opponent at full speed as you pump your fists and exhibit more emotion as you earn recognition with the revised Kudos system. The Kudos will be worthwhile too, because the new A.I. personalities will be able to perform bold new driving maneuvers as they race side by side with other drivers. | | • | 120+ Iconic Vehicles: More than 120 iconic vehicles, including motorcycles, from the world's top manufacturers. PGR4 puts gamers behind the wheel of the world's most iconic cars, including the 1957 Maserati 250F, 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, 1978 Lamborghini Countach LP400, 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo, and 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. In addition, for the first time motorcycles from top manufacturers, such as Ducati, BMW and Honda, will be included in the game. Whether in single-player mode or playing with a team of up to seven other drivers, players can choose to race two motorcycles side by side or race with a combination of cars and motorcycles. The game's unique physics engine enables drivers to pull off incredible driving maneuvers not found in any other racing game. | | • | Xbox LIVE gameplay: PGR4 sets a new standard for racing on Xbox LIVE, allowing drivers to build a global racing community through team-orientated gameplay while making it easy to find their favorite races or images. |

Simple fun September 24, 2008 The big dilemma is whether to buy PGR 4 or Forza motor sport. Well I can tell you now that PGR 4 is no were as realistic as Forza. It also isn't for the hardcore racing fans who like to tune cars and buy accessories and rims and such like. However the graphics are great and it is really good fun on career mode. The online play is also good but the lobby's take quite a long time to load and the different varieties of modes you can play is not amazing. Having said all this I really do like this game and the feature of moving your way up the leader board in single player is a nice touch. If you want a good solid enjoyable racing game that does not have to many frills such as tuning facilities then thins is the game for you!
Hope this helped, let me know if it did
Not as good as i hoped July 25, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Basically PGR4 is pretty good but... I thought this game would be as good as all the videos I've seen, but for some reason the graphics don't look as good as they do during replay. Also it starts you off in a Ford Sierra on tracks that are flat and square, just one after another, god it's very monotonous, so I wasn't very pleased about that, I mean, I just got bored - what's wrong with some curves? Maybe a bit of variation? I mean is it like that all the way through? Anyway i played a demo of Race Driver GRID and that seems much much better, with curves and hills and cooler cars and realistic crashes and everything (which PRG4 should have had), so I'm going to get that one, once the price comes down a bit...
Something different..... May 28, 2008 This took a bit of getting used to after moving from various rally games but it doesn't disappoint, almost endless single player career and arcade modes and Xbox live is just a tap of the button away, really fun and competitive at times with plenty of options to make things more interesting- some snow and ice thrown in tests your skills. Great to have bikes too with the R1 being a favourite, just a pity the cars and bikes are all production based, some rally and track cars and bikes would be a great addition for PGR5!
best racing game May 15, 2008 This game is stunning visually and graphically. It has a set of challenging but gettable achievements which ae the best on xbox 360. There is a wide variety of cars and amazing weather effects. If you have HD tv you must own this. I can't wait for PGR5 (if there is one).
It seems i like the even numbers April 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Project gotham racing 1 - didn't like the structure of the game and found it too hard too soon
PGR2 - Brilliant single player mode which starts easy and gradually gets harder and look up lots of my time.AND a wicked online game which introduced amongst other things the 'cat and mouse' game which i loved.
PGR3 - not as good as 2 with much fewer cities and a much less good single player mode. Online was Ok but not as good as 2
PGR 4 - Brilliant really brilliant - the single player has a nice calendar structure and the kudos you earn allow you to buy new cars, tracks (i've just unlocked the Nurburing 5 mins ago :) ) and bikes as well as game modes (Not quite sure what bulldog is yet but sounds interesting.) Like PGR2 this game is addictive and coupled witht he arcade mode will eat into many of my free hours over the coming weeks
I haven't tried the online (no xbox live now) but this game is worth buying for the single player alone
highly recommended
