Major Disappointment! November 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like everyone else here I was totally (and in fact still am) addicted with Touchmaster. When I saw there was going to be a 2nd instalment I pre-ordered it thinking YES! more cool games to while away the hours. WRONG! They have added 1 more game worth playing on it... DICE. The rest are either the old games tweaked (not for the better) or boring, boring spot the difference type things. For us English this can also be a little daunting as they ask for some things & you have no idea what they are! American terms are used & I'm not talking words like 'fawcett' for tap or 'drapes' for curtains. They're more like names for tools!! Well whinge over. Let's hope the makers take note of the reviews and smarten up with a 3rd Touchmaster, taking it back to the original format!
It's growing on me !! November 18, 2008 As a fan of puzzle games, and in particular the first Touchmaster, I was very keen to get my hands on this game when it was released. When I first played it, I just didn't like it at all. However, I have persevered, and now find myself strangely addicted ! As other reviewers have said, the main downside is the lack of the high score table, as this too was a feature I liked with the first Touchmaster, as it made you always want another go, to see of you could edge your way up the scoreboard. However, overall, I am glad I purchased this game, as it has given me many hours of enjoyment.
Okay, but not as good as the original November 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Having played the first Touchmaster for many, many, many hours, I was really looking forward to the release of a follow-up. I was to be disappointed! Although the games are OK, the high score tables have gone and the games are not nearly as addictive. Trying to beat my high scores and the world-wide scores are what made the last game for me so good and so playable. Worth buying if you have nothing better to spend your money on, but avoid if you are looking for an improved replacement for the original.
Very Disappointed! November 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is not a patch on the original Touchmaster. I was really disappointed because I liked the original so much. But this just appears to have been cobbled together to cash in on the success of the first one.
Not as good as the first - no high score table! November 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a collection of simple mini games. The first Touchmaster was one of my most played DS games, but this isn't quite as good. Two reasons really, one, the games go on just a bit two long, and secondly, there is no high score table! The high score table was probably the sole reason I kept playing the original, and without it this is a little pointless. Also, some of the games, such as the bowling and pool have been done much better elsewhere as (eg on 42 classics). So, if you enjoyed the first Touchmaster this is just about worth getting, but if you haven't get the first one instead.
