It's good...but I'm not! November 29, 2008 After an near interminable wait, I was pleasantly surprised when End War eventually turned up. After initially trying to play the game with only the handset I was beginning wish I hadn't bothered. However when I was reminded that there was a headset still unused in my X-Box...box things became much easier and fun! I'm just not very good at it!
The control system is really good once you get the hand of it; voice recognition is pretty good and as a previous reviewer said once you get the hang of some of the maps, gameplay flows.
Although I'm sure there are better strategy games out there End War is a ood addition for the uninitiated. A very enjoyable blast even if I do feel a bit of a tool taking to the tv screen!
End War? End the Game and stick in Gears of War2 November 9, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
a good concept for a game, a good setting but they might as well have used the setting from Red Storm Rising but that's about it. Unfortunately it is an insult to the RTS games out there, even if this is on the xbox. The only thing that makes this game interesting is the voice commands.. if you have a PC and Xbox get World in Conflict or even the older Joint Task Force for the PC as they are superior. better yet, pack End War back in its box and buy Gears of War 2 on the 360.
Played the Demo October 21, 2008 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
I've just played the demo for Endwar. I was very impressed I thought its was going to be pretty bad because of the voice control. If anyone has played the any games controled by voice eg SOCOM navy seals you'll know it is not perfect, but this on the other hand is great. The mic picks up your voice great you don't need to talk slow or blocky or slowly. all you have to do is talk normally, "unit 2 attack hostle 4" or "unit 3 secure zulu" very normally and the unit does as its asks. The graphics are very good as well as the sound and game play.
I will be buying this game i recommend you do as well.
It's a good game October 19, 2008 3 out of 15 found this review helpful
The 1st part of the game is extremely good fun can get frustrating but once you get into it and start knowing the terrain of the maps and the units the game flow then runs smoothly, after the 1st part this is when the game gets interesting as your fighting now for the world and you have to customize ur units like better weapon on your tank and like improving infantry, voice recognition is cool though had troubles when i played it but that was about 3 months ago so should be fine now, very easy to control the units with the voice, overall i had trouble with the game but im not a strategy gamer but for people who love strategy i reconmend this game.
This game is great February 26, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
this game was so good when i played it on the demo and that was a couple of months ago. back then i couldn't stop playing it, there wasn't a single flaw with the game and voice command work like a charm if you get the game be the European federation.
