| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Colour Liquid Crystal Display with touch screen inputensures better readability and the capability to visualisecolour buttons and backgrounds. Easy selection ofbuttons and commands is possible using the touchscreen. Backlighting is a feature that illuminates the LCD screenor keypad for use in the dark. The two most commontypes of backlighting include LED andelectroluminescent (EL). Remotes backlit with LEDs aretypically bright but uneven with a yellow or green colour, while EL panels are smooth with blue, white or greenshades. A universal IR code database refers to a library ofinfrared codes built-in to a particular remote. Thisfeature allows a remote to control your equipmentwithout needing to learn individual signals. Select thecorrect infrared code sets in the database for thedevices you want to control, to enable control of virtuallyevery audio/video system element on the market today regardless of model or brand. Learning functionality refers to the process throughwhich a remote control captures and stores infraredsignals from other remotes for later use. When devicecodes are not included in the on-board database, theycan always be learned from the original remote, simplyby pointing to it. Alpha blending is used to create the effect oftransparency. It does this by combining a translucentforeground with a background colour to create an inbetweenblend. One-touch convenience allows you to perform multiplecommands with one press of a button via a macro. Amacro combines a string of pre-programmedcommands under one single button. Therefore, it simplytakes one button press to execute a series of functions.
