its another shiny toy November 12, 2008
and i love it. im typing this while its in the charger. great angle. well to be honest i just couldnt wait to play with it.but the angle on the charger is great for sticking on a tray and laying back on the sofa to chat and type emails on my pc connected to my tv. the main thing that attracted it to me was the recharge issue...no more frantic scrabbling for batteries while in the middle of a game or a chat. like others have mentioned, it would be nice to experience the lovely orange lights a bit more.
i paid the extra postage cos im impatient. paid for at about 7.15pm, arrived at 9.45.am thats less than 15 hours from me ordering it, to it sitting on my desk being used.

Pretty much everyone who knows me has asked "Why did you spend so much on a keyboard?" And while it's true that I like shiny things, this is truly one of the best pieces of kit you can get.
It looks fantastic, it's quite comfortable to use, and once you get used to the touchpad, it's amazingly easy to use. The battery lasts for ages, and is completely rechargeable which is pretty useful - you just stick it in it's charging dock and go out for the day, then come back and it's ready to go.
Bad points? No number pad, as said above - but that can be overlooked. Only other problem is the first one I got was faulty, but it's replacement is absolutely fine.

Logitech is a very frustrating brand because they seem to specialise in creating 'nearly' perfect products that exhibit a single fatal flaw.
I love the key action on this keyboard which makes for very comfortable typing. However after just 14 months of use the key labels have completely worn off 5 of the most commonly used keys. This is the first time I have seen this happen on any keyboard, let alone a premium priced one such as this. I use my laptop's built in keyboard just as much as the Logitech and there's no sign of any wear at all.
Other Logitech examples: the Harmony Remote (nearly perfect, but won't charge without being weighed down in the charging cradle) or the Laser mouse (nearly perfect, but I have to tape the battery cover shut because the flimsy catch broke off after 7 months).
Come on Logitech, all of these products would be perfect if you just did a bit more medium to long-term product testing to weadle out the inevitable fatal flaw.
In summary: Premium price keyboard with a premium key action but with the usual less than perfect Logitech build quality.

Today I recieved the new keybourd, and when I flicked the power switch on to this piece of paper thin techknowlodgy I felt a real wow factor. Nearly the entire bourd lights up with an orange light almost in greeting to you, saying "here I am, look forward to using me each day".
The first thing I did was push the keybourd to the limit, no I did not drop it out a window...., I trialed the keybourd by opening a word document and used my old keybourd vs the Dinovi, to write a paragraph containing 243 words took me 5 minutes. I then repeated this typing out the same sentence with the DiNovio, 679 words in 5 minutes. I was completely blown away, seeing as my old keybourd is the logitech g11, gaming keybourd this is a big wow!
My next step was to trial the system as a keybourd under multiple tests, I am a big fan of music and love listening to music on the go and while working but I find closing word or publisher, opening itunes and looking for my songs a bit troublesome. Some may have noticed the lack of a number pad, I spit in their creators face, this keybourds [Fn} system makes a mockery of any z-bourd, work bourd, designer bourd out there. Trust me I know cause I have 3 computers, one for my arcitecture, one for buisness and one for games, (17 years of age so I could be wrong dont hold againts me though), all of them I have thought of replacng but this keybourd is 4 steps ahead of me, it allows me to access all my music symultaniously whilst working, pause, play, skip, rewind, look at mail, internet sites, this bourd is the business and I find the best feature of the keybourd is its ability to syncoinse computer feadback and commands, the keybourd can be set up to seamlessly swap computers as you walk from room to room in your house, bring the dinvio and have no rif raf, turn computers on from sleep/standby and play god in terms of multitasking.
Also the set up of the keys and their sensers found under each indevidual key prevent you from making stupid spelling errors or pressing a key accidentally, this bourd knows what you really meant.
Perhaps the biggest thing I have noticed about the keybourd is that, for gaming I have set up my moniter to also act as my tv and I can tell you it is as light as an ipod touch, just flat and a larger surface area.
If you want a keybourd that just blows you away then here it is.
5 stars cause I cant give it more. Worth every penny.

After one night deciding i needed a new keyboard, my friend teased me with images of a black and silver beauty, the diNovoEdge. At that moment i didnt have enough money to buy it, so i waited until i got paid, and my god was it worth the wait!!!!!!!!!
The Packaging for this thing is amazing for starters. It claims to be the most advanced keyboard in the world, but as my friend pointed out, it doesnt have a number pad! lol not all bad though.
If you read the booklet that comes with it, you can see how much time has been put into this keyboard. The keys are all designed in a new fashion, non slip etc etc, and being cut from a single piece of plexi-glass = sexy!
You can set keys to do different jobs like any other logitech keyboard iv had, but these function keys glow orange through the plastic!! and it looks sooooooo good.
The build quality is again brilliant. The whole unit has a study long lasting feel to it.
the trackpad is great, but is in no way a substitue for a mouse, but for casual use, the trackpad is great.
Touch sensitive volume control too, slide your finger up = volume up, slide it down = down.
Overall, this keyboard is the best one i have come across, and is/will be a perfect compliment to your desktop.
