arcade style fighting September 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
ok so i played a few matches in exhibition before hitting story mode, controls are straightforward, no multiple button fiddling as with smackdown vs raw, that said, the computer tends to reverse charatcer specific moves all the time, no option to turn this off, can get quite annoying especially when you have battered your opponent.
this game is definitely a button basher, found that its more effective to punch n kick strongly then keep trying to pull of slightly more skilled moves, even on easy the computer is fairly relentless with you, good difficulty, does make winning a match more satisfying.
story mode is silly but fun stuff, only a few matches in tho.
anyways these types of games are meant to be played against humans not computers & if you dont want a techy game then this is perfect for you
Good Game September 18, 2008 TNA Impact is a really good game and a good show (better than WWE) but i still prefere the WWE games i expected more from midway but its still a really good game i recomend it to any wrestling fan but i also still think you should still play WWE
IT RUBBISH GAME BUY MIDWAY September 17, 2008 I THINK THE GAME IS RUBBISH BECAUSE THE CONTROLLERS BUTTONS ARE HARD AND GRAPHIES ON THE GAME ARE 32 BIT
Tna Impact not so much a impact September 15, 2008 The game Tna impact is not such a impact you cant creat your own characters in the game there are no titles. The graffics are great with sweating and stuff and the story mode is quite good but overall the game is not that great
Better than I thought September 15, 2008 To be honest with you I didn't know what to expect. Since I was playing the PS2 version (not enough pennies to get a newer console yet) I was expecting something like the early Smackdown games Like Know Your Role, and that's pretty much what I got.
I agree with the guy you had a quick dig at the unlockable characters being the small jobbers that you do up against early on, felt like they could have been wrester versions of other Midway Characters. Did feel a little let down by the fact you couldn't create your own wrestler, would've been fun to have WWE wrestlers in the TNA ring. Also, misses not beaing able to have title defences in the ehibition games. But then again, TNA are just finding their feet when it comes to gaming and I'm glad it's not a Smackdown clone.
If you want TNA wrestlers to have title defences best make them up on Smackdown, untill TNA2 comes out.
A good game is you forget about Smackdown vrs Raw
