Want the latest iPod? Here's how to get it for a fiver November 30, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for a fiver.
Go to YourIpod.co.cc and sign up. Complete ONE offer - I would recommend Gala Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!)
If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial.
All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my iPod and many other things this way, so don't miss out.
I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. B8C approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back.
Many items to choose from and they send your gift Free of charge.
Looks nice, shame about the functionality. November 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This mp3 player certainly looks the part, it's nicely sized and certainly does not weigh anything. The display is nice and clear, and the menu is easy to navigate.
My first issue with this is the layout of the button, there are nine in a 3x3 config, two of which are used to change track. This is fine when you are not doing anything and can look at the player, but if it is in your pocket or you have it on an arm band while you are doing exercise the buttons are too small and too close together so you often end up pressing something else entirely.
I also find there are serious issues with the software, every so often it will decide to play the same track twice for no good reason at all.
Secondly, my player keeps going blank and requires me to reset it whenever this happens. Not a huge problem as it doesn't wipe the memory - but it is a problem that should not be there.
Overall I would expect a lot better, I don't see why Creative can't make a mp3 player that doesn't have problems, when the Zen Sleek Photo I had 3 years ago worked perfectly.
First Class MP3 Player November 23, 2008 I simply wanted an MP3 player with an FM Radio for the gym and travelling to work. I selected the Zen XFi 32GB as it had plenty of space for storage, and of course had the radio. It was very easy to set up and use, and even though my laptop disk drive was not the sort that works with the media, the documentation covered this and I used the link to the creative site to download the software. Installation was simple and I was able to rip CD's immediately. I could also import files from a previous player very quickly. The software supplied is (contrary to other reviews) blindingly simple to use, and does everything most people need.
I then changed laptops, re-installed the software and transfered the content of my Zen back to my laptop - simple.
The menu system and navigation buttons are much simpler than my wife's iPod. Sound quality is excellent and the supplied earphones comfortable and stable in the ear. As a bonus, they also prevent you annoying those around you with the sound cranked up).
If I had to choose again, I would buy the Zen every time.
Best MP3 Player I found in ages November 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This has got to be the best MP3 player I found in ages. I did a bit of research first to upgrade from my Sony 6gb NW-A1000.
This one had so many more features and just seem to make sense based on the price. One thing I was not sure of was the price, but I am glad that I bought it now.
The unit is very well put together and operation using the buttons on front are very easy to use. The menu system is simple and allows you to get to things real fast.
The headphones are of a good quality and at this point I have not needed to replace them with anything more expensive which may or may not given me better sound.
Loading Music onto it was also important to me. I work with computers day in and day out but still I like things to be simple and intuitive, and Not requiring you to load all sorts of silly software. So lucky here, you can load the software that comes with it (which you may need to do if you want to put any Videos on it) or, if like me you are using Vista and Window Media player, just plug it in, let Windows find it and then click on Sync and away it goes. After a short while all your music is on your Xen. This I like as I like to keep my music in MP3 format for maximum portability and not have them coded into some other format that just works on that device (Apple & iPods!!)
Same review for two models? November 14, 2008 1 out of 34 found this review helpful
Am thinking of buying a Zen X-fi8GB so I browse the different models and also look at the customer reviews and what do I find? The same review for the 8GB as the 16GB. This makes me feel that the whole purpose of a customer review loses its credibility. It gives me absolutely no confidence. What I want from a customer review is a good and honest opinion about that one particular model.
