 Really quite crap. To start with. But it burns in nicely. November 21, 2008
This headset is a joker.
It's a very big headset too. You don't want to be seen with it on, people will laugh, unless you have a big head then it will probably be in proportion maybe.
The first month of using it I wasn't very happy with the high ranges it produced, there wasn't any. Was more considered a bass only headset.
But after a month or more of burning it it, the speakers seem to have loosened alot and now all the sound is blended nicely. I even use it now for watching DVD's. Most DVD players have audio dual phono output, use an adaptor dual phono male to female stereo jack, just connect the phones directly to the DVD player this way, bypassing the electrical noise of the TV entering your sound. Add to this the vibrations which make it like being at a cinema when they had rumble devices (like when Jurassic park first came out) and you're in for a treat. You won't find credibility with audiophiles with this headset, but they are usually very dull boring people whom usually enjoy spending all their money without receiving any reward but boast rights.
It's really good fun, better than just a novelty you'd assume you're buying, very fairly priced for what you get. I look forward to more offerings like this from Saitek, if this is what I get for this ammount of money, I wonder what they can do for a bit more.
Don't forget to use it for a few months with some Max bass anthems to really break the sound range in. Then get your classical collection out (preferably with percussion section).
It makes a change from ordinary headphones. Novelty of it and such a nice price, why not go for it if you can afford it for the fun alone.

this headset is a good one. the vibrations are awesome, sound quality is epic. :3
tho it lasted me since march :\ now that one of the wires have broken its not as good anymore

This headset is very comfortable and has amazing sound to it, had mine today and is working like a charm, I recommend for anybody to buy this headset for gaming also :)

I bought this as a replacement for a more expensive CREATIVE headset which i had bought previously (costing around 70), this CREATIVE headset was broken by my little sister so naturally I didnt want to buy something expensive again. I bought this thinking it would be pretty poor, especially with the gimmiky vibration. I couldnt have been more wrong.
After adjusting the miccrophone sensetivity a little this headset far surpassed my old one. The you can't hear the vibration aside from the ingame sounds (but then for me this is only fps and teamspeak).
10/10 for all catagories except maybe comfortability 8/10
It's very comfortable for maybe the first hour or two, but as a serious gamer it can give some discomfort after a while (gives nice warm ears though).

As I already own a number of other Saitek products (Force Feedback steering wheels and pedals, X52 Flight Controller and Pedals) I thought I would give this a try - what a mistake!
In games the vibration effect is barely noticeable - the hassle of finding AAA batteries to run it (or a spare USB port) is not worthwile for the difference it makes.
In music, the result is slightly more pleasing - a test with some thumping dance music and you can notice an effect change when you toggle the vibration on or off - although the vibration is really not that bold, you could think of it as attaching a pair of Marshall speakers to your ears! That led to the major problem - I was quickly replacing the thumping music with a thumping headache..
Also, the earpieces are too tight for, say, a wider head - which left me with not only a headache but sweaty ears too - after just an half hour of play.
These aren't bad headphones, sound quality is good, bass is good, but the vibration will give you a headache and so it doesn't warrant buying them just for that, minor, effect.
