MMORPG Tool December 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Belkin's n52te is well crafted and comfortable to use, however I would recommend Saitek's Cyborg Command Unit as a better alternative for your Muhmorperger of choice. Either product brings all your keyboard needs to a single, albeit left, hand.
Both tools allow you to map your endless stream of abilities to your finger tips, although they are specifically left handed.
Having used both, the Saitek benefits from the following:
* an additional row of function keys, which is nice.
* Two buttons under the directional hat, within easy nudging reach of your thumb without leaving the directional hat. The directional control on the Saitek is also smaller, lighter, and feels more responsive than that of the n52te. Belkin's offering is more in line with a conventional game pad.
* An under-the-palm shift key. This button doesn't simply add shift to your existing key mappings, but shifts the unit's mappings. The shifted keys can retain the un-shifted functionality, very handy for directional controls and universal features such as maps, inventory et al; or mapped to the un-shifted function+shift; or be mapped to something completely different. Whatever suits your needs.
On the plus side, the n52te is a sturdier tool, and less likely to move around your desk; but functionally it's just not as convenient as the Saitek Cyborg Command Unit
SUPERB! October 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used the N52 for a while now after starting to suffer from aching hands and lower arms from using keyboards to play FPS games.
the N52 cured those problems and this latest version is even better with lovely keys.
highly recommended.

What can I say? It glows blue! You can customise it to allow great control for most games. It also glows blue! It's ideal for accurate control of first person shooters like Half Life, Crysis etc. And it glows blue! Highly recommended. Did I mention it glows blue?
