Tut Tut December 3, 2008 Well TUT TUT and a shake of the fist! Ive bought every title of NFS since 1996 and I'm in shock having played undercover, rubbish seems fitting. * in hood view when the bonnet is crumpled it blocks the view and doesnt fly off. * cant look left or right... * streets are empty, void of cars( apart from the odd lego car) and people.. * pointless free roaming as you dont drive to races * flimsy plot * poor modification system * races are far too easy, 10 seconds after the hooter and your in first with an open road ahead. * I could go on
Most wanted was the best and would trounce this as a ps2 game and thats being generous.. Try midnight club LA and you'll realise that this is the game NFS undercover should of been and for 15 less... well no need to do the math. What Happened!!! :(
Best in show December 1, 2008 This game is the best game i have played this year. On line or normal mode can't be beaten the chases the cars, varon, porche, lambos. It,'s got the lot so don't waste any more time buy it you will not regret it. Well thats it for my review must go back getting withdrawals.

Welcome back Need for Speed November 30, 2008 I got this through three days ago and have had difficulty putting this game down.
The campaign is very enjoyable and varied. The cop chases are the best bit for me and hitting the destructible environment parts and taking them out in many varied ways e.g. blowing up a garage, causing a rockslide etc, is amazing fun. But you can also outrun them by twists and turns, plain speed and by smashing into them. But its hard enough to make it fun, on some of the more difficult chases you have to really think on your feet to get away from the cops. I really enjoyed this part.
Many of the normal races are quite easy, although some can be difficult. Theres a pretty nice balance, but the race engine itself is good and smooth and I can see that online will be engaging after the campaign. the graphics are detailed, an unfortunate side effect is that there are occasional glitches but I have found these dont hamper the gameplay too much although it is a downside. One other thing which is a bit of a shame is no trophy support.
One good thing about this game as opposed to Midnight Club LA is that although there is traffic on the roads (so it isnt a straight racer) the traffic is for the most part avoidable. Also the AI isnt so good as to be unbeatable or unrealistically good at avoiding obstacles as I found it was in MCLA. Not quite reached the end of the campaign, looking forward to finishing this and trying the online modes.
Don't Bother!!! November 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The game is ok but the main issue is the frame rate. The juddering is so bad that i gave up and took the game back. The free roaming idea is wasted as you can't drive to events you just have to do what pops up!! I would'nt play this again if i could avoid it.
