Product Description Wii play offers a compilation of 9 fun filled games for the Wii and is bundled with an additional Wii remote ensuring you can make the most of the 2 player mode. Wii play offers housr of fun playing classic games such as laser hockey and table tennis to name a few. Before you get stuck in be sure to request your Mii character, so they can represent you in the games. If you use your saved Mii character this will ensure you can save all your scores, against your character. Wii play consists of a wide variety of games, the most noticeable being shooting range, because of is reference to classic duck hunt, laser hockey which resembles classic pong or Air hockey. Others games will include Billiards, the well known pool table game and fishing. Also featured is charge, a unique racing game in which you steer a bull ridden by a Mii character. Tanks, battle it out with friends using tanks. Find Mii, follow a series of objectives to seek the Mii characters in the game. Pose Mii a fun filled game that involves moving your Mii character in a series of poses, to collect points.
Amazon.co.uk Review: In a nutshell: If you want as gentle an introduction as possible to the world of Wii then this user-friendly compilation of mini-games is just the thing for you, with a collection of games that are as easy to play as they are fun.The lowdown: It might be easy to use but the Wii is still a pretty unusual beast and a bit of a culture shock from the overly complex controllers of other consoles. This compilation of mini-games aims to ease you in gently with simple to play games that only need the Wii Remote to enjoy. These include games of table tennis, air hockey (or Laser Hockey as the game would have it) and an updated of NES classic Duck Hunt. There's also Wii Billiards, a fishing sim and a number of games which use your customised Mii Channel character, including Wii Pose and the Where's Wally style Find Mii. Since many of these games have a multiplayer mode the game also comes bundled with an extra Remote (but not a nunchuck), which usually sells for 29.99 separately. Most exciting moment: Although all of the games are fun the best one is probably the Duck Hunt update (which also has you shooting UFOs and other non-avian enemies). Perhaps what's most exciting about it is that it proves how good other light gun franchises, such as Virtua Cop and Time Crisis would be on the Wii. Since you ask: Many of the mini-games included with Wii Play, such as Duck Hunt and Table Tennis, were first seen as technical demos at the E3 trade conference in May 2006, when the Wii was first revealed in playable form. The bottom line: The beginner's guide to Wii, with a handy extra controller. - HARRISON DENT

Don't buy unless it is free November 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wii Play is only worth getting if it's a cheap way of getting a controller. The game itself is rubbish - is only useful to learn how to use the Wii controller - which you can learn on any game anyway.
Wii Remote + Play November 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Once you have purchased a Wii, make sure this is your second purchase. You will certainly need a second remote(plus a 3rd & 4th maybe later on).
This is ideal with play included, the game is not mind blowing ... but its great and simple to play with a slection of games. Its well worth the purchase

Wii play is one of the best games i have got for the wii! having an extra controler is realy useful, and not many other people think this, but I think the 9 mini-games are brilliant! the graphics are great and precise as well.
Beginers heaven September 12, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
For little more than the price of a controller, you get this beginers game to get you going. Quite entertaining and very easy to use
It talks you through step by step how to use the remote with different games, practicing skills that will come in useful on other games.
It should entertain the kids for a while
controller good, game terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! August 31, 2008 0 out of 13 found this review helpful
i bought this with the wii just for the controller. I thought it was a great deal! a game and a contoller for less than 30. But the game itself is rubish!!! The table tennis game left me with arm ache and the cow game plays like the racers I used to play on my gba!! the pool game is ok with friends, but other than that, the only use I have for this disc is as a table coaster!!!!!!!!!
