 Best Football Game Out There November 18, 2008
Destroys PES 2009 all day. If you want a top football game then look no further. Waste so many hours playing this bad boy!
Best football game ever! November 16, 2008
After purchasing this game, I was very pleased as it is the best Fifa game to date. The graphics are brilliant and game play to match. I would definitely recommend any football and PS3 fan this game. It seems like every detail has been accounted for, from the wonderful detail and likeness to the real players, to the brand names on the back of the net. I would give this game 10/10, it really is brilliant!
 Horrible Game November 16, 2008
What have they done to Fifa, I feel they have tried to become PRO EVO and have failled. I have always been a fan of FIFA until this 2009 edition. After buying this game in good spirits I have been let down to the max, I cannot play this game for longer than 10-15 minutes before it becomes soul destroying. From now on I would say try before you buy.

good but not quite there!!! mayby 2010 fifa eh?
this review is on the grounds that i have played every fifa since 1995.
i watched the fifa games get better and better from 95 to about 2002....they started to go downhill at this point which made 03,04 and 05 complete disasters.06 was nothing special so ea needed a big one in 07.they did that and went on to make 08 extremely impressive aswell.
with 09 i admire what theyve done except the gameplay.can be very fustrating with the passing and movement.when passing i tilt my joystick towards the player i want the ball to go to yet alot of the time this never happens resulting in me losing the ball and my online skill rating.the movement is rigid and with 08 being very handy to beat players with this time you have limited options on where you can go and often lose the ball when running at speed.also the speed is still not there.the last 2 games have not been fast moving but have got away with it with excellent gameplay but not this time....the game can be very slow at times!
hopefully ea will realise these faults and build on the gameplay for 2010 which has major potential i must add.
to ea:fix the inacurate passing,the limited movement and speed things up! make it exciting! and with the online play....i know game quality depends on player connections but there must be something you can do to help those with bad connections?....better servers?,not such high sizes unable to make it down small bandwidths
all i can really say is this is a very good game but its just a stepping stone to 2010 and what fifa can really do.watch the fifa/ea space!
FIFA gets a whole lot better November 11, 2008
The best FIFA yet.... by a long way.
Now I look at FIFA through tinted glasses as I have always been a fan of the series. But after 08 I was getting fed up with the slow player reations, stuttery gameplay and stupidity of the refs.
Well for the moist part the flaws are ironed out. Yes players tend to look ovet their shoulder when revieving a pass over the top and it can lead to silly goals of missed chnces. But you can work over this with experience. Defence is massively improved and I have found on a number of occasions no matter what you do the ball wont find the net (like in real life). On the other hand you can score repeat goals if you are in the groove! keepers are good and charge quickly, reach well but do let in suspect near post goals. as usual kits and stia are all there (minu the bernabeu) and plyer likenesses and graphics are very good.
I enjoy this immensely and the games modes offer so many options from online to Be A Prop and manager mode.
Very enjoyable game and a big improvement on previous years.
