Non stop entertainment May 17, 2005 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
This game is amazing and well worth the 25.99. It contains numerous tracks and cup challenges to keep you entertained for hours.
Maybe my favourite MK... March 27, 2005 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I was looking forward to this game alot and when I got it it wasn't a disappointment. If you've played the SNES game then this will feel quite familiar. The tracks are flat like that one, and it has brought back the challenge that was missing from the N64 game. The game has 5 cups to choose from, so there are plenty of levels, but you can also unlock all the SNES ones to play on too! A great thing about this MarioKart is that the cheating enemies of the N64 game are no longer apparant, so you are unlikely to come 5th after racing the whole game in 1st position now. It all plays like previous MarioKart games mostly. There have been some additions to the MarioKart world though- the ghost item now slows down the person who it steals the item from, the red shells can be dropped on the road like green shells, but they follow whoever passes it, there is also a boost that you can do on corners now using the powerslide without leaving the track. Multiplayer is really good- with everyone using a game pack you can race on any unlocked level, and do battle mode (pop the opponents balloons), or even trade time trial ghosts. If you don't each have a game, you all play as a different coloured Yoshi and can choose from the 1st 4 SNES tracks. I can highly recommend this game- it's probably my favourite GBA game overall. It's very challenging and always fun. If you enjoyed the SNES one then this is similar but bigger. It's alot better than MK64, and will last alot longer than MKDD, at least on single player.

this is a great racer on such a great platform. Mario Kart Advance: Super Circuit is full of colour with great music which makes a fun racer which the mario kart series is famous for. it has all the classic fun of the original mario kart on the super nintendo but also adds on the the series which has been gained from the creation of mario kart 64. i must say the only let down of this title that there is no battle mode when linking two GBA/SP together only a fantasic racer mode.
BUY THIS GAME August 7, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
if there is one racing game you are going to buy for the gba, make sure it is this one. Addictive, fast flowing and a game you will still be playing six months after youv'e bought the game. Trust me. I still am. You won't rest till you have set an unbeatable time on rainbow road. About the game... where do you start. You can play as 8 classic nintendo characters ( mario, luigi, peach, toad, yoshi, wario, bowser and dk) and race them around brand new tracks or classic snes tracks. All the old pickups are here including the unbeatable blue shell. You will have hours of fun in single player mode but where the game really comes to life is in multiplayer mode. Get a mate round and the days will fly by. Its even got the rare ability of a single pack link. And now... cause its been out for such a a long time you can get it really cheap. Buy now!!!!!
Awesome! Better than my gamecube version! April 27, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This game is spot on. This was my favourite game years ago on the snes andwas the reason why I bought a GBA and a gamecube. This version has the same feel of the original it's all there includingthe time trial mode (which is good to play when you and your mates havegot back from the pub and are waiting for the takeaway to arrive!) The graphics are clear and movement is smooth, there is no pop up as allthe backgrounds are kept close to the original. The sound is all therewith little bits of speech from the characters when your racing. I feel the gamecube version has lost the grin factor which you still geton the GBA, so much infact I've flogged my cube. Give it a go, its the mutts nuts!
