5 out of 5 stars Resident evil code veronica X   March 9, 2005

This game is a definate must buy. If you are familiar to the series of resident evil, then this game will familerise yourselves with the characters of Claire and Chris Redfield, featured in Resi 1 and 2. In this game, You get to control both characters and a new character to the series, Steve Burnside. They have improved on this game dramatically compared with the previous in the series, mainly with enhanced grafics (due to it being the first to PS2) there is no longer any of the cheesy voice acting, and still follows the familier plot of the original resi's. The controls are slightly different to that of previous games, but you can adjust them accordingly in the options menu. Even if you are not familier with the previous games, still buy it as the storyline is made so even beginers to the series can follow it and enjoy it! And has to be one of the best and most original storylines i've ever played. The game offers 20+ hours of gameplay, mainly revolved around Claire trying to escape off the island then, when you finally get her out, you have to do it all again with chris. But with CG cut scenes, and new characters to interact with, this game will keep you involved all the time. There are puzzles to solve and many varieties of monsters to kill, with a whole range of weapons to suit every need. New enemies include the twins Alexia and Alfred and back to the series on PS2 only, Wesker, Although the main villains are the twins, that harbour a secret which you'll have to play to find out. Also with this game once you do complete it, the horror aint over yet, for it features a battle game in which you can control 2 versions of claire, chris, steve and wesker, each with their own final bosses, in a whole new mini game. To unlock certain aspects, you have to obtian hidden items in the game, so theres plenty of juice in this game to keep you going. Finally it still features the amazing sounds and scenes, making this game simply amazing!

The first thing you notice about this game is how difficult it is to control the character - you are continually bumping into things, turning around the wrong way, jumping - how you are supposed to run away or shoot the living dead also is beyond me. They don't seem to have the same problems and when they attack you pretty much screwed, you die and then have to start all over. I played it once and got rid the same day! It does create the atmosphere of fear and it does make you jump but this has to be the hardest game to control I've ever played and I can't get over that.

My favourite RE game.
You play as Claire Redfield who is searching for her brother Chris after the lucky escape in Raccon City Claire know finds herself trapped on an Island but it wasn't too long before she was out of that Prison Cell and the Nightmare has know struck the Island will Claire be able to survive the Nightmare again and find her Brother? That's upto you.

Awesome game it's still scary and is packed with tons of gore new monsters and new weapons make this game a definate buy

Graphics: 7/10
Music: 7/10
Gameplay: 7/10

A BUY!

5 out of 5 stars A Zombie Filled Fun Fest   May 28, 2004

The resident evil series is a games series I have always held to my heart when it comes to games. Resident evil: Code Veronica was the first Resident Evil Game to be released on the playstation 2. Now it has been released on the Nintendo Gamecube. There are several advantages to this, with imporved graphics and extra small things added into it to make the game better than it already is. The plot revolves around Claire Redfield, any Resident Evil veteren like myself will be familer with this character already. Also ncluded is her brother Chris, a character from the first ever Resident Evil game.

The game takes place on a small island. The opening scences are breathtaking, with the superb graphics and the realism of the characters. Well as you would expect from any good Resident evil game, the zombies make a appearence almost strait away, so get your knife ready for the hordes of fleash chomping zombies that await Claire and Chris.

You meet several other characters along the way, including Steve Burnside and Alfred Ashford. I strongly recomend this game to people who enhoy survival horror games, and people who are not squimish. With the bleand of new monsters and some new characters make this game great.

Another downfall for nintendo. A waste of time when it has been on the ps2 for so long. How could nintendo make such a good old game rubbish? The GC should think hard about its future (if there is one)
