 Easy to pick up October 8, 2004

This is my first golf game, so I am not able to compare it with previous years efforts. I brought this as I was trying to find something I could play in chunks, rather than a game that requires a serious time input. In this it is proving superb. The controls are very easy to pick up, and the gameplay straightforward enough to get you playing quickly. The graphics and sound are fantastic, with really well detailed courses and ideal commentary for this sort of game. You have the option of creating your own golfer, with a mind boggling degree of detail (you can even specify a mullet!). As you complete tournaments/challenges you win prize money which can be spent upgrading attributes/clothing/equipment. All of these improve your golfers game.There is a large variety of courses and opponents. Along with this are a series of challenges that unlock legends of the game such as Arnold Palmer. This provides the player with a huge amount of variety, and what looks like long term playability. The negatives with this game are that some gamers might find it a bit easy. I am a casual gamer, yet have found myself quickly going 8 under par, and winning tournaments. However I like the fact that it is easy to pick up. The other iritation is the continual swapping of discs- this can prove extremely annoying! Overall I would recommned this. All the people I know who have this game are very pleased with it. I don't like golf, but I enjoy this.

This game is very addictive but is not as good as 2004 in my opinion. It has bland boring levels and is good if you like customising your own levels and golfers but if you like playing the game and having exciting levels buy 2004. It is still however a great game and is very addictive but I'd wait until it comes down in price.

At least the type i get!!!Could this get any better?
Graphics are huge leap from previous years
Great to see new courses rather than re hash of previous years. Still needs to increase difficulty level as beating golfers remains fairly easy. slip on your compfy shoes, pastel trousers and relax for hours with the greatest golf game known to mankind
