amazin February 24, 2004 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Forget people saying this game has no strategy, thr's loadsa strategy......should i invest my skill points in an ultra powerful golem? or should i use them to create effective curses to leave the enemy helpless? With more characters, huge worlds ( and with the expansion pack, EVEN more of these ) this game is amazin. Definitely worth the price, i bought it at full price ( over 30 ) and i'm sure i got my moneys worth. Just buy it!!!

i dont know how many people (over the age of 10) play this game to be frank its terrible. Why do you even consider this rubbish when classic d & d games like baldurs gate (1 and 2) are so cheap! 1) character classes + races : erm i think you may find about 5 times the races and 15 times the classes in the forgotten realms series. 2) quests, overall and sub : again a pitifull number when compared even to baldurs gate 1 which has far less than baldurs gate 2. 3) graphics and/or detail : where is it??? graphics aren't a replacement (and they arent that good in D2) for artwork and detail in landscape. im don't need to say anymore. 4) no strategy : perhaps the most important part; hack, slash, move, hack, move, hack um...is there any more to say. theres no substitute for proper 2nd generation d&d rules. I know most of the people playing this game are too young to spell strategy but please grow up and play a game with some character.
Diablo II, devilish price! December 10, 2003 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
One of the greatest games of all time, with an addictive skill and ability upgrage system that means bedtime becomes very late. Now (at time of writing), 6.66, does someone at Amazon have a sence of humour!
Diablo II November 2, 2003 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
Diablo 2 is a non turn-based fighting RPG and although it is a little dated it is still one of the best games there are. its basic elements are based on quests that are giveb to you by non player characters. it has loads of gothic dungeon like enviroments that are underground like the first diablo but also has inviroments that are above ground. it also has 5 fresh new character classes with unique abilitys. one of the best improvement is that instead of just the one town there are 4 lush new worlds - the homeland of the rouges, the egyption desert, a jungle rainforest and hell. and the multiplayer mode which supports up to 8 players in one game always gives you a reason to keep coming back for more.
A real classic game... July 29, 2003 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've played a lot of games on Mac and most of them on PC platforms. But strangely enough I always end up playing Diablo 2. Don't ask me why. I really don't know. But the truth is that even after all those years I just love it.The fact that the game is still doing great is that a new upgrade is being tested right now. My favorite game ever... except for "Pacland" that is... but that's another story
