I got my copy of MGS4 today and have been playing it for about 6 hours non stop, its a masterpiece and i'm sure i'll still be playing it in years to come! The graphics are stunning the game play is awsome overall a stunning game buy it you wont regret it!

got the game this morning and have been playing about seven hours having a break to have a smoke. this is going to be a very easy review........BUY IT NOW its really that good its looking like a game im going to finish a few times. they weren't joking when they said they were developing new sound technology for it the sound is superb through good speakers. even if i wrote a bad review you'd buy it anyway because in your soul you know its good but what really makes it good is that it actually really is good 9/10 the best point so far is the stealth camo suit its lush tricking troops then blowing there head off with a silent pistol

Let me first say I'm a complete MSG virgin! Yes it's true, this is the first of the series I have played.
The biggest surprise for me was finding out exactly what kind of game it was, I didn't bother reading much about the previous series because i thought i would just jump into it anew.
The tactics involved in the game are sublime, Not really a spoiler but as soon as i saw the cardboard box i thought AH so this is what this game is about!
It's just so much fun using stealth and tactic to down your enemy (if needed), a refreshing change from the normal FPS and a much needed treat after the recent Haze ps3 exclusive slap in the face.
MGS4 is an absolute gem.
Can't really be arsed to write more as i would rather go and play more!
If you are a long term fan of MSG i guess you will need no convincing to buy it.
To those new to the game i would say get it, sure like me you may not understand every backstory but the game does a decent job of pretty much telling you the basics, enough to find it a thoroughly rewarding experience.
I think i have found my new Half Life 2.

If you didn't have a reason to buy a PS3 before.. now you have! Snakes final chapter in the Metal Gear series. With cinematic and dramatics to compete with top films, Metal Gear Solid 4, is surely the must have game of the year (If not for many years).
A lot of new elements has been added, for example OctoCam, a new camouflage that will blend you instantly to any wall/floor surface. Also added, the rusty barrel, this is fun. Get in roll and knock down your enemies, don't roll to fast though as Snake will get out and throw up!
Online is solid and addictive!
Overall a must have for any Metal Gear Solid // Action games fan.

Metal gear solid 4 is truly amazing right from the opening scene, nothing on the market comes close to matching the passion, realism and genius of this game. A true 10 out of 10, please buy it you wont regret it! Best game on ps3 by far. Online is also amazing with loads of weapon andcharacter upgrading and great team stealth play. There is no doubt in the world that MGS4 is so worth the money and no ps3 owner should be without it.
