Honestly - it's good! March 5, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I got this game in January. I really enjoy playing the different games. You have to unlock certain games, like for e.g. there is a game called 'syllable count', where you have to count how many syllables there are in different sentences. There is also another game called 'calculations X20' where you have 20 different sums to answer as quickly and as accurately as you can. The sums are easy, so one of them might be ' 8+4 ' e.t.c. There are lots of different games, which is one thing that's good about it. Altogether, I would highly reccommend this game.
Great Game March 5, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've only had this game a couple of weeks but I'm really enjoying it. It certainly does exercise those grey cells and is very addictive. The only down side is the voice recognition where you have to speak out the colours. Even when I speak loudly and clearly it will often not recognise what I've said. Apart from that it's a great game and is great for children and adults alike.
Addictive and training at the same time, 2 for 1 February 20, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Brilliant game, bought November 2007, I never thought I would stick with a console game as long as this, my son started me off and I couldnt put it down and now three of us in the family are playing everyday, you can do as little as two games (to get your stamp) or more. Recommended
Boring! February 7, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I had Brain Age 2 for Christmas and really enjoyed it, so my son sent me Brain Age from Canada (half the price of the one in UK) - what a disappointment. What is the point of reading a passage aloud - the machine can't tell if you are doing it properly, so just marks you on how long it takes you to push the finish button. Counting aloud to 120 - same comment! Counting syllables is marginally better - and the maths calculations at least make you think for a nano second, but not much brain training! I still have other games to unlock - if I can keep awake long enough to get more stamps. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Ok but not great ... a little flawed... February 3, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ok let's establish one thing first... this is not really a game but instead a piece of equipment that increases reaction times but NOT reducing brain age. Doing the simple arithmatics and reading aloud etc. everyday gets a little tiresome... especially the simple maths in which eventually you just memorise all the calculations which in most cases do not even require thinking because you realise you've done it so many times. However I would recommend this to younger children who would benefit from the endless simple calculations.
