Absolutely perfect for the able-bodied December 31, 2006 Amazing, immersive, innovative. Nintendo have hit magic with the Wii control system. Those who prefer traditional controls will be well served by Microsoft and Sony. For everyone else, including traditionally non-gamers, Nintendo is the one.

Since the Wii only comes with one nunchuck and one remote, additional controllers are a must have to enjoy multiplayer games on the console. Although you can do two player for the "Sports" and "Play" games (Play requires a second nunchuck for the tanks game it includes) with just the wii remote, the nunchuck is handier for more complex multiplayer titles. I could probably say something about how amazing the Wii is to control, but you'll have heard that already. My only criticism? lack of an analogue trigger, and a clickable function we've been used to in the Cube and PS2 / Xbox - but that's a very minor point.
To all non disabled people... December 30, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think its a little unfair that someone disabled gives the console/controller 1 star... I mean, its not Nintendo's fault if you can't do it, its not the fault of the controller. The sad truth is they can't take into account every persons disability.
The consoles and controller for everyone else work great. I love it, I'm sorry that the person below doesn't because they can't use it (assuming it isn't someone just playing a sick joke), but its kind of an unfair view.
Fantastic! December 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
the new Wii controller set up is fantastic! I can honestly say its probably one of the best I've ever used and i'm a serious gamer! The interaction with new games is astounding..i can only say..more please!
To address the last reviewers posts..I find myself rather confused by what your trying to say! I accept that you are disabled and I understand your frustration. I'm pretty sure that nintendo where aiming this at the majority market. thats not to say if you have a disability the Wii and controlers are off limits..Its just if you suffer from Muscular Dystrophy...then the games, rather than the controllers are where your problem lies! Some of the games require SERIOUS movement at high speeds. I ache from simulated boxing fights and what not...I havnt had this much excerise in years!
now..Like the last reviewer...If you dont fancy moving around much or cant..then there are 2, and only 2 alternatives avalible to you! 1) buy a classic controller for your Wii. this works with a large range of games..though not all so make sure you check the title supports it first (all Wiiconnect24 games will..infact a classic contoler is must for that)
2) Dont buy a Wii. its that simple. you need space to play the Wii in and you need to move lots for a lot of title..if its not your cup of tea..STAY AWAY!
Nunchuck rocks! December 29, 2006 The console already comes with one of these, but I thought I would buy another one to play multiplayer in games like Red Steel. It's really a fantastic controller, it perfectly fits your hand and is very comfortable even when you play for hours. The analog stick is satisfyingly clicky and the two other buttons, c and z are good as well. The nunchuck is mainly used to move characters around and control the camera while the remote(which is amazing too)is used for action related things like attacking. I definetly recommend buying another nunchuck for games like wii sports boxing and red steel which are great fun in multiplayer!
