A whole new ball game March 16, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
After buying my Wii, I assumed that connecting to my tv through the Scart lead that came with it would give me the best picture possible. Boy, was I wrong! I didn't even know this product existed until it showed up in my recommendations after I bought Wii points through Amazon and, after reading the previous reviews, decided to give it a try. Well...WOW!! Everything these other guys say is spot on. This really does give crystal clear graphics and my Wii gaming experience (particularly Zelda, which I may have to start again just to get the full effect) has been taken to a whole new level.
You HAVE to buy this.
Really.
30 % Improvement over bundled cable February 7, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Noticeably richer colours and crisper edges over your bundled Wii cable. Zelda: Twilight Pricesss almost looks like a different game. The improvement's comes fromm this cable actually separating the Red Green and Blue signal from your Wii to your television. You WILL see a vast difference. RECOMMENDED

No HDTV? Get this!
Throw those old crappy RYW cables out and buy this! With this scart lead it improves the sound and picture by a great deal. More deepness to the colors resulting in fantastic color and sound is amazing, worth the money.
You may run into a problem with it cutting the edge of the left screen if you do change the screen postion on the wiis settings and your all go!
Worth a buy if you cant use component cables.
much needed January 9, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
owning a regular crt (non HD) TV over 20 inches in size means you should take my advice and get one of these.
I bought one of these the other week and am as pleased as can be with the picture improvement over the original cable provided with the wii. Although the improvement is most apparent in more graphically detailed games such as Zelda I have noticed improvements in wii sports as well, such as grain/texture in the ground being more apparent.
When you switch to RGB scart there is a less hazy image which is particularly beneficial in fast moving action such as Zelda battles. You might also notice slight 'jaggies' on edges of 3d characters but this is just because your quite literally getting a clearer interpretation of what your wii is really trying to show on your tv. The overall gains of one of these cables makes it definitely worth a buy.
Great picture - Some Issues December 26, 2006 35 out of 36 found this review helpful
Connecting your Wii with the RGB Scart cable gives you a far superior picture than the supplied red/white/yellow composite lead. The picture is sharper and less blurred (so you can actually read small text without eyestrain) and the colours, particularly the reds, are sharper and more.. well colourful really. However.. it's not a fully wired cable, so unlike an XBox Scart, the pins that control widescreen switching are simply not there. Not too much of an issue if theres a simple button on your TV remote to switch screen ratio, but a pain if like me it means trawling through about 6 menu screens every time you need to switch in and out of widescreen. Also, there is always a signal - even when the Wii is in standby, so it won't turn on/off your TV as you power up/down the Wii and if you have autodetecting Scart splitters, it may prove problematic. In summary.. it's more than worth it for the better picture - but for an official, quite pricey cable it really should have been fully wired.
