Works with Guitar Hero 3 Controller May 30, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This game works with the Guitar Hero 3 controller, so if you already have this, then this game is good value considering the quality track list and vast selection of downloadable songs.
HOLD ON A MINUTE May 29, 2008 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
dont mean to be pickie here but this game has a pegi rating of 12 so you all think that the band in a box would be well for everyone seeing as their plastic toys well no their not even a 12 like the game the pegi rating for the band in the box is a 16 so if your 12 you can buy the game but u cant buy the controllers sorry. funny hey?
anyone know a good reason for this.
Fantastic Game May 28, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
This game is great, it's very enjoyable alone, and bring a few friends round and it's a hoot, I'd recommend it to anyone.
P.S I don't give a damn about the price, theres nothing wrong with it as far as I can see, I could go into the prices on everything increasing, food, fuel and other necessities but I'd just be stooping to the level of the people whining about the price of this brilliant game. MUST HAVE!
I give it 5 purely as i am reviewing the game, not the price... May 26, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I you include price I would give this game around 2 stars, as it is far too steep at RRP, though if you can get it for 35.00 and the instruments edition for 100.00, then buy a Les Paul Guitar Hero guitar for 45.00, giving you the complete Guitar, Bass, Mic and Drums kit with the game, like me for 180, its not that bad, around 40 - 50 too much for my liking, maybe scraping a low 4 stars.
Gameplay wise, i cant fault this game, an easy 5 stars, and because of DLC to come in the future, you may never tire of this expensive piece of kit. First night I got this, my mates and I were rocking all night, not stopping the Band World Tour once.
The game looks good too, unlike Guitar Hero's try hard visuals, Rock Band looks great! It may be difficult to see past the 4 instrument panels, but it does look great and suttle stage effects just add to the rocking feel.
To sum up, i think that the price is 45 too steep, but I could justtify it for myself after playing it in Zavvi. The actual game is briliant, beautifully presented, better than any guitar Hero I have played and so much fun, I will never tire of rocking out with my mates, but i would advise more thought to go into buying it if you dont have mates who would come over, get drunk, and just play Rock Band. I give it:
Presentation - 10.0 Gameplay - 10.0 Sound - 10.0 Lasting Appeal - 10.0 Graphics - 9.0 Value - 3.0
Overall - 9.0
stop whinning May 26, 2008 1 out of 10 found this review helpful
stop your whinning every one yeah the game is expensive but the best things in life aren't free this is probably the best game ive played all year you can have 4 people playing at 1nce on your console 1 person singing another 2 doing the guitar and bass and then someone drumming it is the ultimimate band experience on any console its the closest thing most people will be getting to being in a band and it is a suburb game.AND if you really are just a cheap scape like most people just buy the game and drums on their own no one is forcing you 2 pay 180 for the whole thing. so come on dont be stupid like the idiotic people who think good games should be cheap.
