Fed up of Bullies! March 20, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Started to play this and began to enjoy it but it can be frustrating when a mission doesn't go right. It also takes a long time to go through stuff which can also be annoying! The kids in the school are all annoying - maybe I just don't like teenagers? Apart from that it is quirky and funny with enough of a challenge and a bit of an opportunity to let off steam! Makes great use of the Wii controls too!
Bully is back! March 13, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I believe that one of the main reasons people like this game is because their is nothing else like it - okay, theirs Grand Theft Auto and the Harry Potter games which have slight similarities in ways but i think this is one of a kind.
People can complain that the transaction of Canis Canem (Bully) on the Xbox 360 and Wii is no different to how it was on the PS2, but who cares really? If you had the game on PS2 who said you HAD to buy it on your Wii?
Overall i think this game is great! The characters are hilarious, the storyline is clever and the gameplay is fun and never gets boring. Must buy!
proving wii is better than ps2 but not perfect March 11, 2008 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
firstly the game is just a port! its not like a part 2 or anything they added 8 new tasks new characters etc. but its basically just to make people who owned it before go woooooooow and re-buy.
on the other hand i played bully on the ps2 but never bought it so this was fresh to me. The graphics despite game trailers HORRIBLE videos the quality on the wii is amazing!!! for a free roaming game this is brilliant compared to scarface/godfather/no more heroes and a big improvement on the ps2
if your gonna compare it to the xbox ok this game will lose purely on graphics tho
but enough of that
the game stands out in a world of its own you go to lessons do puzzles/mini games and win objectives. you can help or hurt nerds, beat on a jock or leave them well alone its completely up to you there are tasks you have to do for the game to progress because its more like manhunt then gta in a sense that it follows a story and a very good story at that about a kid who doesnt get on with his family so he gets put in bullworth academy essentially a private school so you have to get him to lessons, get him to sleep and generally not get caught being a bad kid or else you are punished this basically means tasks failed...
ive had this game a couple days now and ive played it alot theres enough to do to keep you happy and enough things to learn like locking kids in lockers or dunking them in the toilet
all in all dont be put off by the port its probably one of the best WII titles out there
Great game from the team behind Grand Theft Auto March 10, 2008 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
Even though the Wii suffers from a lot of bad ports, Bully: Scholarship Edition isn't one of them. Already a hit on the PS2, Bully is a charming, entertaining experience, and far more lighthearted than the title might lead you to believe. Bully's mini-games and classes are fun with an overwhelming amount of entertaining content. Scholarship Edition is a step above the PS2 version, due to the use of motion controls, even if it looks graphically very similar. The new classes on the Wii version are well made, and the multiplayer mode is a nice distraction from the main game. Rocktar games clearly put a lot of love, time and effort into their games, and this is one I'd recommend for people who are looking for something unconventional and immersive.
