Great Game February 3, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I Own The First Two Guitar Heros And This One Tops Them Both, The Soundtrack Is Much Better Than The Others With More Original Songs And Less Covers. The Battles Are Fun, Using Powerups To Destroy The Opponent.
Online For This Game Is A Must, You Can Have A Battle, A Face Off Or A Co-Op Game Against People From Around The World.
Feels like you're REALLY playing the songs January 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We've only had this game for a short time, and have never played guitar hero before, but it's gone straight to the top of my list as probably the best game I have ever played on any kind of console.
The Guitar controller for the wii remote is fantastic, well made, and feels quite like a real guitar. The game is easy to play but hard to master meaning that you can just pick it up and play along, in no time you're rocking like a true legend. However if you want to pick up the pace the levels get harder and harder.
Having played a little real guitar I think the experience of playing this game is pretty good. At first I was trying to actually "play" the song, and soon realised (by the wrong notes coming out of the wii remote) that it's better to relax and follow the blobs on screen. They do pretty much follow the kind of pattern you might expect although obviously (especially on easy mode) the button presses are limited compared to the notes that the games guitarist character plays when you press them.
We have a surround sound system but I haven't even noticed the mono bug. Turned up loud it really rocks the house!! I'm not actually a huge Rock fan but I was standing up tapping my feet and swinging the guitar like a real rock guitarist. It does turn you into a virtual guitar hero, just as promised!
Wooo Guitar Hero :D January 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero III is already a huge improvement on the other games. Not only through the setlist but mainly due to the multiplayer battle mode which is really awesome and challenging. Particularly when playing against the ingame characters such as Slash :D. The online feature is brilliant too. Now I dont have to carry my guitar hero Guitar around to freinds houses to play (even though the guitar is nwo more portable), I can play against them online aswell as many other people around the world too. I hope that soon we would even be able to download extra tracks for the games too. 5 stars from me :) and I recommend it for anyone and everyone who has a Wii.

This is one of the coolest things i've ever bought, I enjoy it to the full.. my brothers love it.. even my girlfriend enjoys it. For all those who say that the game is just too hard... they obviously suck at music, or even playing simple games, it is great fun; 5 Stars!

Why is this game so good? Because sadly, I actually think I'm an axe hero. One day on and my calves are sore from bouncing my knees to the beat and my fingers feel like they've been playing twister!
This game is great. It's great to play and funny to watch. As for the sound issue... mine seemed fine. I had different sound from different channels and it sounded great. Perhaps because I'm using a top scart lead as opposed to the stock leads?
You'll find some of the music is classed as 'made famous by', and this means it's a cover. To be honest though, they're pretty decent but when you have original versions of 'Ruby' by Kaiser Chiefs, 'Welcome to the Jungle' by Guns n Roses and 'Anarchy in the UK' by the sex pistols you're onto a winner. Saying that though, despite being a 60's child I still didn't recognise alot of stuff (U.S. I guess).
This game is the best thing on the Wii.
