If you can, RENT August 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Dont buy, rent. Songlist is OK but too modern. Guitar "Grip" kills your fingers Only 4 buttons :O To be honest..no. Not a good game.
Pricy but loads of fun. August 12, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this game having never played any other GH game and found it brilliant.
I understand why some reviewers found it uncomfortable to play, and that the grip can sometimes slide out of the slot. I found that pressing my left thumb against the right shoulder button (not used in game)prevents the grip from slipping as I'm holding the ds and the grip at the same time. I also found that when I have my thump in this position, it's comfortable to play and I can hit the able button easier.
If you take a little time to play around with holding the grip and finding what is comfortable for you, then you shouldn't have any problems with the game.
All in all it's a very addictive and fun game.
***** 5 stars addicted to it =D x August 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I absolutly adore this game! Its soooooooooo easy to use and I am 13 and I find it really easy to use the grip! Its perfect like the WII one only portable so even better really!! LOVE IT! =D xox
The Best Nintendo DS Game? July 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well worth the money - particularly at Amazon's price which is 5 quid cheaper then the highstreet. I bought this so there was actually something decent to play on my daughter's DS. She's quite keen on it, but I'm becoming addicted! Not what I intended! It's the best DS game I've played. Yes, the song selection could be better (I only like 2 or 3 of them)and yes, the controller is a bit uncomfortable and prone to disconnection, but these are mere quibbles in the context of the overall gaming experience. The latter two problems are resolvable, well they have been in my case. In fact the only real drawback with this game is that I'm becoming horribly, impulsively, sweatily, intimate with songs that I normally avoid like the plague!
Just the one minor setback... July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It took time getting used to but now not only can I play guitar hero at home, I can also play it on the move! Of course, it is less realistic than the normal guitar hero games, but it is just as fun! The price is reasonable for it, and it comes with an adapter for the old versions of the nintendo ds. The only problem I have found is finding a comfortable position to sit in whilst I play this as your wrist can ache a bit, but usually taking a break helps. Or perhaps using a Powerball Neon Pro ? Overall I give it five stars because the quality is excellent, I can wear headphones (so I don't have to annoy the rest of the family!), and it is still quite a challenging game.
