Great Fun- 5 Langauage Game- so you can buy abroad! June 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this months ago from .de( I play in English). I and friends children have had hours of fun, swimming about discovering new creatures, being careful to to upset any sharks etc.
I must admit I have big prob with right arm, so it nice to 'borrow' friends kids to do the swimming bit, and they have fun deciding where we should adventure to next.Plus they enjoy learning the English name of creatures (most based on latin- so no big deal)
My 1 comment would be if its sold outor long delay its because it is a good, relaxing, informative fun. But it is in stock NOW on .de & .fr,so as its 5 languages will work fine in Uk console set to english.
As for manual as its Nintendo game, you can go to Nintendo USA site, click SUPPORT, then on left click MANUALS, and its available to download pdf file in English, French & Spanish. Happy swimming. :0)
Sit Back and Relax!!! May 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the first game i bought for my nintendo wii and is a great game if you just want to wind down after a hard days work! The graphics are stunning especially if you have HD cable (i'd recommend seriously)! The diversity of life found in the game is AMAZING, from tiny molluscs, such as Sea Slugs, to the enormous and magnificent Blue Whale!!! Also, the underwater environments, from Coral Reefs and Lagoons to Deep Sea Trenches and Ancient Ruins, AND the fact that you can interact with every single species found in the game is what really gives the game its sense of realism, beauty and hours upon hours of fun! I hope you enjoy this game as much as i do and i think its a refreshing change to the '(shoot em up's)' we all see today!x
Not enough to do to keep it interesting for long periods of time May 25, 2008 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this game as I really liked the concept of the game with it being relaxed, open ended game play with opportunity to pretty much do your own thing. There is no strict story line, just a few relaxed goals to give the game a bit of structure and these can be completed in your own time. The ocean is split up into different areas and sometimes it will ask you to explore a certain area etc. but most of the time you are just left to swim around at your own pace looking for fish. This concept appealed to me as I thought it would be relaxing but to be honest the fish are often so tiny and undetailed that if I play for more than half an hour at a time I get bored.
Great Fun May 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is incredible. The graphics are good, and the amount of ocean you can explore even better! there are so many fish to see and find out about, and the knowledge put into it is vast. You can even get "partners" like dolphins, which you can train to do tricks and become close to. There are a few things that are slightly bad, for example the amount of time it takes to get going when you first start, and the way it takes quite long to get around on the ship. The way you communicate with the other human is annoying, as the mouths don't move, and it's just text coming up on the screen. However, with patience, you can work your way around them. My only other issue is the fact it's only 1 player, but again, this only matters at a party, and then, you probably wont want to play a relaxing game like this! This game is relaxing, and I reckon its gonna be a great way to get rid of stress before GCSEs!!!! This game will not disappoint, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Converted my partner in 15 mins! April 28, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this on the strength of the reviews on here, and I'm really pleased that I did. I have only had the Wii for a week, but this is the game my partner and I have spent most time playing so far. When he saw the box and I told him what the game was about he thought it sounded rubbish, but after watching me play for about 15 mins he was hooked, and now I can't get him off it so I can have a go!
Very relaxing, easy to play, and generally a nice way to unwind - you can return to the boat at anytime without losing your progress, so you can play for 5 mins or 5 hours unlike some games which require you to reach the end of the level before you can save. Perfect if you are busy but still like to play games once in a while. Definitely recommended.
