This does what it says on the can,
However I get annoyed with autolaunch kicking in everytime I just want to transfer stuff from 1 PC to another.

The U3 device is ok for those that want all that extra stuff taking up space, but not for me, should have ordered one without U3, still there was a sure way to get it off and thats by deleting it, theres a feature in there to delete the U3 and go to standard memory stick.
Didnt like the plasticky feel and dont like the capless design, sooner or later the slide mechanism is going to fail, we will wait and see.
To conclude it does what its supposed to do.

Disks fail and so did one of the two Cruzers I bought. To return the defect item you are asked to provide an hour's work of documentation including a picture of the serial number. After approval, you are requested to send the item at your cost to the Czech Republic! I am sure SanDisk speculate in customers not wanting to go through such hazzle. You should be aware this before buing any product from SanDisk.

I own 2 of the 4gb Flash drives, has been dropped, stepped on, kicked and put through the washing machine and still works fine, A++++++ item.

Having a 4GB Cruzer c/w U3 software, I decided to also buy its 'bigger brother'.
Unfortunately on my Vista machine, the U3 software didn't originally load; this meant there is no way to safely "Eject" the drive. Simply removing the flash drive risks long-term damage to the drive & my data.
A week after purchase & the thumb drive is now recognised!
The 4GB version + U3 software is superb in every way.
U3 worked from the start on my XP PC.
I originally rated this at 2 stars; now I want to up the valuation to 4 stars, but Amazon's site design prevents me from doing so.
