More than a racer December 24, 2008 its a racing game witha difference police , lol thats about it , ea games have yet to make a game that makes me happy they are a mutil million company yet always produce rubbish at the moment , all the games i got from ea i have taken back within days , i.e army of two it was a online game that didnt work online , well having said that it let u get to the menu screen , undercover was suppose to be the game that everyone wanted most wanted to be and it should of been the title before this as a most wanted 2 but it never happened instead we got need for speed underground which was rubbish too , this was suppose to follow most wanted as us gamers said , what has happened to most wanted and decided to boycott ea for there need for speed title , having said that they made simpsons which worked , EA go back to the drawing boards hire new people cause your gaming department sucks , and even burnout never worked online on release day so dont expect anything from this game. i am sorry for the seller , but one nce point u said u dont kno the region its on the box as pal or ntsc and theres a blu0102 whatever code this determine what one it is , as the ps store tells us what blu number is eu as the store maynot update need for speed from another country sso carefull if u want extras and indeed find out what version this one is ,
well apart from that remember GTA5 is out Lbp Resistance 2 are out killzone 2 coming soon and resident evil 5 but if racing games are your thing buy most wanted for a cop chaser or even gta , and buy grand turismo 5 all for the same price , i boycott ea for there crap game creation and online experiance
Going backwards December 22, 2008 Having bee a racing game fan for some time, there are a few games on offer that you always look out for. Burnout of course, which in recent years redefined racing games. The Colin Mcrae series which has dipped and come back strong with Dirt, leading on to the current (and in my opinion) 1st proper next gen racer GRID which looks sounds and feels like something your ps2 could only dream of. Getting back on track the 'Need for speed' games started out well enough, a stright forward story based game with questionable cut scenes that ultimately did the job. I've never been a huge fan and I think EA have always played it safe realizing the formula works and never veering to far off the rails. after the 'not bad' carbon they did finally (maybe looking at next gen capabilities) try something different with 'pro street' - it didn't work, so with 'undercover' its back to what they do best right? Wrong. After reading the 'spin'- better engine, Hollywood cut scenes and dynamic everything you could be forgiven for thinking this has 'game of the year' potential. It is quite possibley the worst most overated game I have ever played, poor graphics awfal frame rate and some of the worst acting you'll ever see. Not PS3, barely PS2. If you shop around you'll see everywhere is reducing it whereas the far superior GRID remain at 45. If you want a street based racer go for something like Midnight Club LA. It's a solid next gen racer at looks like it was made 'two' generations after undercover.

I bought this game yesterday and so far i love it. Ok, the graphics might nt quite be what they should on ps3 bt if u want a good looking racing game then get GT5 Prologue. It might not be the most realistic driving game out there - again if thats what you are after then get GT5. A lot of people have said there is a lack of traffic - if u want a crazy traffic full game then get Burnout. It is very simple, at the end of the day it depends what you want. I buy NFS games because they are fun, and not because they necessarily look good or are realistic. I have completed almost half the game in only 2 sessions, and i can hardly put it down, which means that they must have got the enjoyment factor right. It is by no means the best all round racing game on ps3, but it is good at what it does, which is the key. So if it is just a fun racing game that you want then get this, bt if u want a rly good looking or realistic racing game then don't; get GT5 instead.
Utter Disapointment December 13, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been an avid fan of the NFS series since the very 1st NFS many years ago. Most Wanted was the pinnacle of the NSF series IMO, With the new PS3 possibilities I quickly bought NFS Pro Street, and was disapointed with the format, menu's and the framerate and vowed to never buy another NFS product. Then the announcement --- A return to the MOST WANTED cop chase style format and this more than i could resist, so having viewed video snippets of flashing police lights and hi speed persuits I hit that "Send it to me NOW" button and waited eagerly. Waiting for the letterbox to sound the arrival of Most Wanted, reincarnated with the power of the PS3 was for me so exciting... Sadly..
This is the last of the excitement, on arrival I slapped the disc in the drive, loaded the game, got a drink as i expected to not move for some hours, grabbed my controller, and prepaired to be awe struck.
I was, and am still completely AWE struck at how they can release such a shameful title. I honestly feel ripped off and that I should receive my money back. The main problem for me is the disgraceful juddering framerate. HOW CAN THEY RELEASE A GAME FOR A CONSOLE THAT DOES NOT RUN PROPERLY. Its not like a PC where you may feel if only you could upgrade to a new video card, the game would play as intended. THIS IS A CONSOLE, THIS IS HOW THEY INTENDED IT TO PLAY????
DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE PLAYED IT,
I am forcing myself to play it, in the hope I find the game worth ignoring as best as possible the appauling framerate BUT, the action is as bad as the framerate. the cars handle like a joke, my 1st 2 seconds into the game I enter a race and finish 1st even though I was not trying to race, i was playing with the buttons looking for reverse views, boost, trying to skid the car, and even pulled over and tried a few donuts, and still trundled over the line 1st.
There is no way the game physics are anything like playable, the sense of speed is just not there. i know in a real car it would perhaps not look so fast as i would like, but then... this is NOT Gran Turismo, Its NFS. Need For SPEED. Thats the only thing right with this game, the title. it is seriously in "NEED OF SPEED"
Anyone want my copy??, pass it round to warn people off wasting money on this. Midnight Club is better, or just stick with Burnout Paradise and Gran Turismo.
God Awful December 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The graphics are ok but not upto scratch for the ps3, races are easier than a drunk american college girl in mexico, the frame rate is slower that Corky and if you didn't guess the plot twist within 10 minutes of playing.......well you should look up hammers on Amazon and bash yourself with it because you are teetering on stupid.
