A MUST PLAYSTATION BUY! January 3, 2009 This game is brilliant and fun for all ages, a must buy if you own a playstation. So much to do so you will never get bored of it.
A little suprising game! January 2, 2009 I got this game mainly to please my girlfriend, give her something to play with on the PS3! But instead I've found myself absolutely hooked on this! This is by far one the best platforming experiences I have had since the days of Mario on the Super Nintendo.
A must buy January 2, 2009 I was a little unsure about whether to purchase this game, but after reading the reviews on here, and seeing The Gadget Show talk about it, I bought it. I am not disappointed. It's a really addictive game, very playable, and looks lovely on screen. Practice levels on your own, and then compete with others around the world. It's a game that will keep on giving as other people around the world create their own levels. It's the best thing on the PS3 so far.
Very good and funny January 2, 2009 When I first started playing LBP I had great expectations. Once started I did enjoy the game. However, after a few hours game play I got a little bored playing those single player levels. The fun began along with playing online and with friends. In addition, making your own level is something Im not yet good at, but Im sure it is fun for those who know how to make them.
All in all, LittleBigPlanet is for you if you enjoy playing with your friends or online. If you are planning to play alone, do not buy this game. The more people, the merrier the game.
I got a PS3 just so I could play this game and I wasn't disappointed!!! January 1, 2009 I love LBP!!! I saw a clip about it on a gadget show and started watching youtube clips etc and reading about it. Pretty soon I knew I just had to have it - small problem though - no PS3. So for Christmas I got the PS3 with LBP, and believe me, it was totally worth it!
The game is very cute and caters for different markets. Stephen Fry's witty narration is guaranteed to amuse, and even the opening credits are vaguely entertaining.
Sackboy himself is very cute, and if you have dualshock sixaxis controllers, he is entirely at your mercy, as you can move his hands, body, and head by tilting the controller, as well as altering his facial emotions with the arrow buttons. The controls are easy to master, and if you like platform games (all you Mario/Lemmings/Sonic fans etc out there) then this is a great little game with lots of hidden things to find and various challenges to complete and overcome. The prebuilt levels are there to help you to understand the game in general, and to introduce ideas you could put to good use when you build your own level.
Buildling your own levels is great!!! For anyone who always dreamed of being a game designer - here's your starting point! Have a little fiddle and see if it's what you imagined! Then there's the item creation etc - Sims modding fans - you will be in your element! I haven't quite completed all the story mode levels yet - heads up - you will need two players to collect ALL content - so I know I can still get more bits and pieces for making my own levels, but I'm having great fun with what I already have, and I'm really no artist.
In honesty, I haven't had the chance to play online yet as the internet at my house is tempremental, but I look forward to doing that too and checking out other people's creations!
A truly amazing product, well worth the money (shop around - it's 25 at the moment!), and a good buy for fans of The Sims 2 and Sonic, Mario, Lemmings, and all those other seminal 80s-90s games =o)
