FIFA gets a whole lot better November 11, 2008
The best FIFA yet.... by a long way.
Now I look at FIFA through tinted glasses as I have always been a fan of the series. But after 08 I was getting fed up with the slow player reations, stuttery gameplay and stupidity of the refs.
Well for the moist part the flaws are ironed out. Yes players tend to look ovet their shoulder when revieving a pass over the top and it can lead to silly goals of missed chnces. But you can work over this with experience. Defence is massively improved and I have found on a number of occasions no matter what you do the ball wont find the net (like in real life). On the other hand you can score repeat goals if you are in the groove! keepers are good and charge quickly, reach well but do let in suspect near post goals. as usual kits and stia are all there (minu the bernabeu) and plyer likenesses and graphics are very good.
I enjoy this immensely and the games modes offer so many options from online to Be A Prop and manager mode.
Very enjoyable game and a big improvement on previous years.
 Pro Can't Touch It November 9, 2008
Better than Pro, game play is excellent, graphics are too, mananger mode and all those are great and the addidas live addition makes for a new twist with the teams each week. DO NOT BUY PRO, BUY FIFA!!!

OK. Going to take a slightly different stance in this review so bare with me!
Purchased this game the day it came out. Take great pleasure in playing Career Mode. Play as Plymouth. Take them into the Premier League bla bla bla.
After 2 months, im into my 3rd season. 2nd game in, at home to Arsenal. Loading screen comes up. Starts to load, and gets stuck on 1%, strange i think. Restart the consol and try again.
Again gets stuck on 1%
Restart the game again, this time simulating the game to get past that stage. Gets stuck on the same screen at 1%
Go onto Fifa Forum online, to find out it has happened to other people at a specific point in the game. Be it 1% 50% etc...
Contact EA Sports, they recomend i delete the most recent game save file. Which i do. Also add the most recent 'system update'. Try again, still stuck at 1%
Contact them again to say its still not working after making the changes they recomended. They inform me my PS3 or Disc must be faulty. Funny considering i tried the game on my brothers consol moving the save game data to his consol and also tried his game disc on my PS3.
So now i am stuck with a game i cannot complete 3 years of manager mode in, let alone the 15 as described. One of the main reasons i purchased this game was for it's manager mode. Which is now unplayable.
Oh well, 40 worth of game now unplayable. Very unhappy!

Great Game, graphics are excellent, On line is great. The thing that let me down was the game play look at pes 2009 it has good game play diving and good other stuff as well. but Fifa 09 is way better than pes 2009. and plus pes has champions league as well which makes it good as well
But a very good game both of them fifa 09 is better for this year

fifa 09 is the best fifa yet

.top class gameplay
.and adidas live updates which keeps you up to date with the real football world.
a must buy for all football fans !!
