"Target those Trade Federation AATs!" September 13, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Hasbro start their new Legacy Collection for 2008 with wave two consisting of figures from the Clone Wars animated series. Unlike the other Clone Wars figures released this year, this wave is in the same vein as the 2003 Clone Wars wave with figures based on the characters from the cartoon but styled as if there were real actors playing them as opposed to the more `animated' appearance of the other line. As an added bonus, much like 2006's hologram figures in The Saga Collection or 2007's collector coins in the 30th Anniversary Collection, this year they've done something better - the Build-A-Droid `Droid Factory'. Each figure comes with a component of an Astromech droid. The next figure in the series is #16: Clone Trooper - heavy weapons trooper. This trooper has only been released in the 2006 Battle Pack: The Hunt For Grievous and was armed with a Z-6 Rotary Cannon but this figure features several refinements over the previous issue. The trooper has head (rotational and vertical), shoulder (rotational and abductional), elbow (vertical and rotational), torso (rotational), hips (vertical), knee (rotational and vertical) and ankle (rotational and vertical) articulation which gives him a very poseable 21 ranges of movement. It comes equipped with a silver grey Cip-Quad cannon which comes as a backpack which clips onto his back plate armour and has armatures that reach over his shoulders and clip onto each side of the cannon component. His helmet can also be removed to reveal the generic Clone face we have on lots of the troopers. There is also the right leg of R4-J1 included. Unlike the first wave, the droid parts are not included in figures of numerical sequence. The rest of the droid is included with #09 Obi-Wan Kenobi, #10 Clone Scuba Trooper and #13 IG Lancer Droid. An excellent Clone Trooper and you'll definitely want more than one of these.
