Animal Crossing: Is it worth it to just get the city? December 1, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This review was based on my experiences and I thought we all needed something other then these 'spam' reviews.
ACWW, was an oasis for me. I loved it until about a week ago. It got boring for me. Just doing the same thing. Over and over again.
Now with Ac:cf (or Ac:lgttc to us)it isn't much different. I know what your thinking. This is bad, isn't it? Well actually no it isn't. Imagine if they changed one simple thing. It would change animal crossing as we know it so you can't really blame them for that. Well back to the game. I have decided to list the good things and bad and then a summary to make it clear for everyone.
-Good things-
-The city- Who remembers waiting for months for Dr. Shrunk or Katrina well now they are all here (exept Pascal, Saharah and Wendell). No more waiting although it does take some of the fun out of it all. But, what the heck Gracie? 300,000 for a bed???!!! -Characters- Everyone is back (including the monkeys and the octopie, plural of octopus btw.) and more. My favourite is Poppy! Look at her little face! This is good but you still have to face the ones you hate... like Bluebear and ... Bitty and ....... TANK!!!! -Ds transfer- No this does not get rid of your character, it just copies it to your wii. Good if you have a full catalog and don't wanna lose it. But you cannot tranfer bell, flowers or items in your pocket. You gotta earn them. All over again. - Wifi - Need I say more. Visit other towns and say hi to people, maybe have a chat or a game. Pretty useless if you don't have a computer or wifi. Well come to think of it you must have a computer if you are reading this. - The town - It is more then double the ds one and you can choose your house. It has levels. Nooks and Ables are separate and everything else is absaloutly random.
Bad things - Resetti - Is back longer, ruder and more annoying. Why nintendo? WHY??????? On the bright side he has a survallence centre that can be visited randomly. - Money - Is harder to earn. No more said.
Actually thats all the bad things covered!
Summary It is similar to the ds and gc version. The graphics are improved and better. The town is better... Oh you get where i'm going. 10/10 for fun. 9/10 overall (1 off because of money, resetti and similarity.).
One more thing. Please check out the museum. It is amazing!

Wii Speak? We wanna! October 15, 2008 16 out of 79 found this review helpful
"Here in Europe, the Wii Speak channel will be available from 5th December. For the moment, you'll be able to pick up your adapter when you buy a Wii Speak compatible game, such as the soon to be launched "Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City". "
So the Wii may soon have voice communication, perhaps even between different players. I wonder if we can look forward to upgrades for programs like Mario Kart so you can really insult the losers, rahter than those lame "I'll do better next time" comments
I suspect I'll buy animal crossing, if only for the Wii Speak. Hopefully it won't be as disappointing as Wii Ski (aka Family Ski in Europe) and its lame implementation of the balance board. (Lame is appropriate for something that doesn't ski as well as Wii Fit)
