Not Very Good.. December 29, 2008 I Think that this headset is really bad they brake really easily. Buy The Wireless one instead much better. Xbox 360 Wireless Headset (Xbox 360)
RUBBISH December 25, 2008 This headset is the worse thing I have ever bought its breaks like 10 times a year, everyone who I know has been though atleast 2 of these. Microsoft love making things that last for about a week and then break like pretty much everything i have bought from microsoft. !! Dont buy this it is crap !!
Vital, but Flawed December 12, 2008 The XBOX 360 wired headset is vital for any xbox gamer, whether serious or just a casual user. This peripheral allows you to talk to friends and teammates over xbox LIVE in game and now in 8 player chat on the dashboard. There are, however, some major flaws with this product. Number one, it is very flimsy and prone to breaking if you don't look after it well. Secondly, the volume isn't high enough for my liking so sometimes you can't hear your friends speaking. Another issue is that the volume and muting controls are now located in line rather than on the connection to the controller. This makes locating and using the mute and volume controls quite hard, and frustrating if you are mid - game. If you are buying a replacement headset I'd be tempted to go for a cheaper brand as they are just as good as the official xbox headsets, or, like me, try a wireless head set.
Breakable... July 29, 2008 The headset was great for almost a month until the actual plastic part on the headset broke off, meaning the earpiece and microphone were left. So I had to bring in my own way of holding the headset up by strapping a hairband around my face to hold the microphone up. The design overall was flimsy and can be broken very easily. It stopped working tonight.
Free Replacement February 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like many others who have placed a review, my headset also broke after about 3 months. I could hear other people but they could not hear me. I gave xbox customer services a call on 0800 587 1102 and without me even asking they have said they will send me a new one free of charge within 7-10 days.
