Amazon.co.uk Review
Developer Bungie long ago promised that Halo 3 would be the last part in the story, but it's always been pretty obvious that they were only referring to Master Chief's initial confrontation with the Flood and Covenant. For now though the only indication of how the Halo universe will continue to evolve is this game: a console only real-time strategy game from Ensemble Studios, makers of Age of Empires. It's a little known fact that the original Halo, when it was still only a PC game, was actually envisioned and initially designed as a real-time strategy, so Halo Wars really isn't as much as a stretch as it may seem. The game's story takes place before that of the original Halo: Combat Evolved but involves versions of the familiar Halo vehicles from the dropships and Warthogs to the Covenant Banshees and Spectres. There are also many new vehicles as well though, such as the Hawk helicopter and Wolverine rocket tank. As with most real-time strategies you're also able to build your own buildings and support structures with which to recruit new soldiers and build new vehicles. A properly accurate and intuitive control system is always a problem for this sort of game on a console, but apparently that's one of the things Ensemble has spent the most amount of time on, with only the one analogue stick and four face buttons needed to control the whole game. One thing's for sure the Halo saga and universe has only just begun. Harrison Dent

Game not made by Bungie January 5, 2009 I am a big fan of all the halo games and i will buy this game as its about Halo but i am unsure how good it is going to be as this is a halo game not made by Bungie who are the best game studio. This game will probley be like command and conquer so if you are a big fan of that.
Why Oh Why December 17, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Didn't want to give it any stars because it's not fair to judge it till you play it however I would give Bungie & MS - 10 for keep putting back the release date I have had this game on pre-order for weeks now and my son is sure gonna be mad with me when I tell him it's been put back again.
you can review the game when it aint out December 7, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
How can you review a game when all you have seen is a little clip of what it might look like, it's just stupid Amazon should stop this, and only let you review something when it has been released.
Can't give it 5 stars as i've not played it. November 10, 2008 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
People seemed to be getting annoyed at people giving the game one star when they haven't even played the game even though them themselves have given it 5 stars without even playing it. So just for fun i've gave it 1 star :)
Buying for my Son September 4, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not a review as such......
as I don`t know much about the game, all I know is my Son wants it desperatly. He enjoys his other Halo games and says Halo Wars will be great too, I give the game 5 stars just because of my Sons` enthusiasm (and to make up for the 1 star)
