My 120 GB HDD is unusable now that I tried restoring the info I backed from my 20GB HDD into it.
There is apparently a security code in each HDD that prevents you from transferring data in this way. If you over-write this security code with another HDD data it will make your Microsoft warranty void and thus deem your HDD useless as it will not be recognised by your xbox 360.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT TO TRANSFER DATA BETWEEN XBOX 360 HARD DISKS.
So this device is strictly for back up... if your xbox 360 hard disk screws up and dies out, your backed info will be useless. Which kind of defeats the whole purpose of this product. Just don't buy it.

or you'll have to isntall window. I needed it to transfert my 120Go disk of my old RROD xbox360 to restore it on the black shiny Elite I bought and It needed more than 120Go to backup it. At the end I just transfert my Saved Game on a memory card and download again my DLC. For me it was a useless hardware.

My thoughts:
Basicly the device in question is nothing more than something you can connect your XBOX 360's Harddrive to your PC to backup your game saves, downloads and so on, so in case of anything bad happening ie: your 360's Harddrive dying/corrupting on you, then you can easily place it back on your Harddrive/copy it on to a new one.
Hope this clears up any confusion.

I own an xbox 360 elite and wanted to put music, films and pictures on the hard drive. But my xbox is along way away from my computer and any form of phone line. As there weren't any reviews about this product when i bought it and there wasn't alot of information about it on amazon i thought that maybe i'd give it a try and see if it would work.
Maybe im just confused about this product...but i thought that because you can connect the hard drive to your pc, you could easily transfer music and other files straight onto the hard drive, it appears that i was wrong, unless i just dont understand how to use it or im using it wrong. Perhaps this product is soaly to be used for transfering 'saves' but i thought otherwise, fairly disapointed.
Has anyone else bought this product and been able to transfer music or anything from their pc to the hard drive with it?
sorry that this wasnt a proper review in comparison to, say, how good a game was, but i thought that things needed to be said, thanks for reading :)
