Amazon.co.uk Review
Of all the new games set to be released for the PSP, Pursuit Force looks to be the most exciting. Older gamers may find the concept reminiscent of 80s coin-op racer Chase H.Q., which is certainly a game long overdue an update. If you haven't heard of Chase H.Q. don't worry - as this is a pretty easy game to understand.

Cast as a police officer in the Pursuit Force it's your job to arrest an almost unending stream of automobile equipped bad guys. And by arrest the game actually means run off the road, blow up or, in the game's signature move, jump onto a moving vehicle, turf out the driver and steal their ride. It's like an even more explosive version of Burnout but with guns and a wider range of transport.

The game is simple dumb fun, but the mix of driving and violence has rarely been combined so well. No doubt aware that the whole thing cold get a bit samey, there are plenty of different vehicles and weapons -- including the chance to pilot a police helicopter at various points in the game, complete with a highly destructive mini-gun accessory.

With some really stunning graphics and a great sense of speed this may be yet another driving game for the PSP, but there's far more to it than simply getting a better lap time, which may ultimately make it the best of the bunch. --Harrison Dent

3 out of 5 stars Not bad   November 22, 2007
Played this game for a while and unlocked some of the stuff.
Have to say its not very fun to play on though, the missions are a relief when theyre over because they are so frustrating. The levels are also very similar, if youre not in a car then youre in a boat, I hear there is a helicopter chase but I doubt Ill play that long to get that far into it. Not the best game Iver ever played, I would go for GTA or Burnout instead as theyre both excellent as apposed to this average game

4 out of 5 stars looks cool but it's SO frustrating!!!   July 28, 2007

When I first played this game, I was amazed by how cool it looks and how fun it is to jump from one speeding car and land on another whilst blasting away with a shotgun. My happiness, however, was short lived. After the first few missions, the game gets incredibly tricky. This is made all the more frustrating by the fact that some missions go on for ages, and if you fail then you go right back to the beginning. On top of this, almost every single misson ends with you having to stop the criminals from escaping, before they cross state lines etc. You will find yourself tearing at your hair when you have just jumped onto the final enemy car and you suddenly fail the mission because the bad guys have somehow 'escaped' with you sat right on top of them.
There is also little variation in the missions;you will either be escorting a convoy, pursuing theives or trying to escape with one of their recently rescued hostages. There are only a couple of missions that don't follow these scenarios, one of which is incredibly hard and is a rip off of the film 'speed', as you try and get the passengers to jump from a moving bus while avoiding oncoming traffic so that the bomb doesn't go off when you slow down.
Having said all this, the game can be very fun (although frequently it is also very tedious) and it looks and feels as if you are playing a movie. The stunts are spectacular and the overall concept of the game is good. There are also racing missions and time trials if you just want to drive really fast in a cool car, and having completed the game myself I must say the game is very rewarding when you complete a particularly tough mission.
This game is worth getting if you fancy a challenge.

4 out of 5 stars GREAT, BUT PRETTY CHALLENGING   July 18, 2006

I bought my PSP a while ago, and this game came with this game, but I found a more value for money package here on Amazon. I had wondered about getting this game for a time and then i had some spare money so I went and bought it. I was amazed by the graphics and number of missions u can start off doing instead of having to start on 1 level there are like four to choose from. The only bad thing I can say about this game is that it is quite hard, but once you try a level once or twice you will get the hang of it and get through. so far i have only completed less than half the game, but I am still enjoying it.

Buy this if you like a challenge, or just want some racing and shooting.
