 Without One Of These, You Would Be Useless Owning A Playstation 2! April 10, 2007
One vital piece of equipment you would need when owning a Playstation 2, is a Memory Card! It's even more worrying if you loose this device, because if you did, all that hard work you did on those long working games you own could be lost forever!
I own a Red and Blue coloured 8MB Memory Card for the Playstation 2. I tend to rely more on the Red Memory Card for saving all of my work, and throughout the time I owned the Playstation 2 I've had no problems since with this Memory Card! It's just the right size for me to play and complete all the games I own!
My Grade For The Memory Card: 8/10: Enjoyable, Fair-Play, Thumbs Up
My Wish: Sometimes, when you save games, the game may duplicate copies of useless junk you don't need on the Memory Card and that's what regularly happens with the Playstation 2 Memory Cards! I only wish that when the game is saved, it were saved correctly and properly without hassle!
Final Comments: I'm chuffed with my Playstation 2 Memory Card! I've had not many problems whatsoever, and I doubt I will for now!

The PS2 Memory Card (red) has been re-released in a new colour: Red. A more vibrant and/or romantic colour, this is more attractinve to Ps2 users in search of a new memory card. Another good thing about this is that the red colour can help you find it if you ever lose it and, by the way, there is a quite big of a chance that a person who is not a neat-freak will lose it. There is a downside to this red Ps2 memory card: the memory-8mb-still hasn't dropped in price, probably because Sony wants to earn more money by coaxing the user of it's game console (s) to buy more memory cards, but this is one of the reasons why the Ps2 is not as popular as before for people wondering 'Do I get the Ps2 or the Xbox or the Gamecube?' The xbox, saves on the Console Hard drive, illiminating the need for memory cards. To sum the review up, I would say that this is a essential accessory for Ps2 users, but it is not good value for money (think about it-8 gigabytes for 14 quid).

Don't trust your many hundreds of hours of hard earned game progress with 3rd party cards with their dubious compression features, LEDs and other "features" - get an official memory card.That said, average memory capacity is doubling in capacity and halving in price every 6 months. It's a bit cynical of Sony not to increase the spec of their memory cards in proportion to this rate of progress, hence I knock off 1 star.

You know what it's like. Your playing a game that has taken you over an hour to get passed a point that has been killing you for weeks. Only to find that you can't save it on anything. This mean't that you had to start all over again from the beginning the next day without getting further into the game. You feel really frustrated and your mind is full of ways to do it quicker next time. Well not if you have the playstation 2 memory card to save your efforts on. Start where you left off so that every day you are getting further and further into the game, nearer and nearer to completion. Why didn't you buy this before? is what you will saying to yourself.

Seriously, what can you say about a Playstation Memory Card... You save your games on to it. It does it really well. I will stress that I am a firm believer in sticking to the brand, they are quality! Buy a Sony Playstation 2 and get Sony Playstation 2 Control Pads and get Sony Playstation 2 Memory Cards.
