Great Game December 12, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was the first Tony Hawk game I got, but i had played some of the pro skaters. How could you cope not being able to get off the board, it must be impossible without? This game is amazing until you complete it, then the chaleenge goes, but it is still pretty good you can still do 2 player and create stuff (parks, skaters, tricks etc.) Focus is also very cool (dont kno if that was in thug1) especially when you r doing amazing combos it really helps. This is probably ridiculously easy if you have played the other games, but is just the right difficulty for me, and it is really cool how much better u get (if u watch the demos by leaving it on the menu they seem impossible, but now although im obviously not that good, but quite close). The best levels r the new ones in story mode, the ones u get in classic mode just aren't as good really, but r still worth unlocking. overall awesome, but addicitive.
Amazing yet short August 3, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Thug 2 is an amazing game, although i love this game i had finished story mode and classic mode in a short period of time. In Thug 2 you can create youre own grafitti tag and leave youre mark everywhere you go from Boston to Spain. In create a character you can custamize your character, mabey give him a tattoo or put a bag over your head it's really up to you. In story mode you start as a noob no respect no nothing. But as you progress through the game you will be respected and a better skater than Bam.To progress through the game you must get points by completing tasks once you have enough points you can carry on getting more or you can head of to the next country. In classic mode it's basicly the old games, you have to do tasks such as find the secret tape, collect skate and collect combo. Although it's like the old games you still skate in the same places as you do in story mode. Multiplayer is a large percentage of the game. You and your mates can skate the streets on a variety of modes. Some of which are Tag,slap, king of the hill and my two personal favourites Horse and treasure hunt. Tanks for reading,Please rate my review cheers!
Good game, could be better June 30, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a huge fan of the tony hawks series i couldn't wait to play this game, i was amazed by underground 1 so was excited about the second 1 but was sadly a bit disapointed. the gameplays realy good, an amazing sound track to go with it and really nice graphics but it seems to me like there running out of ideas. The levels are ok but can sometimes get a bit boring the destinations they go to are not as good as i expected either. And also the missions just feel a bit bland and i felt myself getting bored very quickly. But i can't deny the fact that it is a good game to play and can keep you entertained, lets hope for a decent thug3

What an amazing game. I've followed the Tony Hawk's series from the beginning and it is the one game I can safely say I know inside and out. Tony hawk's underground 2 is a perfect reminder of just how good these games have been. The new story line itself is pretty good, it didn't take long to complete and wasn't amazingly engaging but I found it more interesting than the first underground game which was a bit sterile. Where this game really comes into play is the classic mode, combining the new levels with a generous sprinkling of some of the classic levels from past games - it's engaging, takes time and great skill to complete and above all such good fun - it's like watching a tony hawks special of "this is your life". If you've loved every minute of the Tony Hawks series so far then this game is not only a superb stand alone title but also a "hall of fame" for this ground breaking series.
Good but not that good December 2, 2004 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Tony hawk's games have always been the only ones worth having. The pro skater series was great and so was THUG 1. THUG2 however feels like they are runnin out of ideas or at least good ones. In THUG the emphasis was on getting your skater to be the best but THUG 2 didn't have much of a story. It felt like they were just trying to put funny characters in for a laugh and not about the sory. Jackass stars appear which is great for a while but it starts to interupt the flow of the game.It also features Classic mode which is Pro Skater style goals which provides a longer lasting game. Its still fun to play just not as fun as the other Tony Hawk games. Lets hope the next one is better.
